And there goes the lead.

Why was Celestino playing that right-handed batter so deep?

... because that is what he told to do by those that know so much.

Thank God SD's situational hitting is nearly as awful as the Twins or this would've been blown open. Terrible ABs there from Hosmer and Alfaro. Voit's wasn't much better, mostly just dumb luck that his "hit," dropped in RF.

Pagan gets out of the inning with 0 earned runs and his ERA goes down to 4.75.

Good job buddy, hope that's the last we see of you in a Twins uniform.

Pa-GONE.

That's on Bundy, not Pagan. Pagan got swings and misses and soft contact that snuck through, Bundy was hit hard.

Box score for Pagan looks okay.  Couple hits, no runs, in an inning of work.  All he does is win!

/edit - ninjaed by bighat! :)

Bundy says thanks. Pagan says "What? None of my guys scored!"

That game tying single Pagan gave up was not soft contact

Celestino catches it in medium RF.

It was definitely behind first  ?

The most important stat for a reliever, in my opinion - Inherited Runners Scored. IRS

That is what tells you if the reliever is a go to. He can provide relief, not fan the flames. That is the job.

They should have pulled Bundy sooner

And they should have left Gray in longer.

Rocco never gets it right.

/ and the Rally Goat said essentially that first, too.  I need to get a faster feed. :)

It was an 80 mph ground ball, so...

Bundy got to start the 6th and Gray didn't? Weird. At least he got a quick hook.

Yeah they should have pulled Bundy sooner but we don't have any long relief to plug in there

Maybe Gray and Bundy aren't the same quality pitcher.

With 2 men on bases Padres were able to score runs.  With bases loaded Twins failed to score runs.    Bummer!

So average? I get that Arraez was playing in so the ball got on him more quickly, but it wasn't exactly a slow roller/chopper that Cronenworth beat out.
