sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 How many rounds total? Is 20 it? And how soon do the pending icons start changing in the tracker? If no one is on base, less than 2 strikes, could they have the catcher play in the field as an extra fielder? Almost surprised this doesn't happen already considering how baseball optimizes for certain situations...
Monkeypaws Verified Member Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 Somewhat toolsy HS outfielder coming in at 20, and the draft is complete.
Dman Verified Member Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 Draft over let the signings begin. Not sure how they are going to sign those high schoolers but I guess we will find out soon enough.

The way it works is that anything above $125,000 is counted against the total bonus pool. operation mindcrime and Heiny 2

This is roughly what i remembered, thoughit feels strange that last person in round 10 is encouraged to get 149k but first in round 11 jumps down to $125k. Does it go the other way as well? If we sign a 1X round pick for 100k, do we get $25k more we can offer someone else?

The $125k is a maximum before it starts counting against the pool from the first 10. sampleSizeOfOne 1
Jeremy Nygaard Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 20, 2022 Author Posted July 20, 2022 Since there has been a lot of chatter about Daniel, I got a bunch of information on him that I'll be plugging in on the tracker in the next 30 minutes or so. Stay tuned... operation mindcrime and AZTwin 2

ScottyB Verified Member Posted July 20, 2022 Posted July 20, 2022 Thought I’d add one more former SS to the list that I wouldn’t mind one of these guys to turn into - Joe Nathan. big dog, James and ashbury 3

The first year the draft pools existed, there was almost no difference between the last pick of the 10th round and the first pick of the 11th. (I think it was like 106k vs 100k.) As the pools increased each year (or almost every year), the gap got bigger and bigger. Eventually they bumped the 100k up to 125k. My guess is that in the next couple year, when the 10th round gets to 155 or 160, the 125 will bump to 150. Heiny 1
