I agree 100%. You never know the score, the outs or the inning. He thinks every player is a candidate to steal bases and there's more.

My only gripe is they should be ahead by a lot more than 3-0. Productive outs alone would make it 6-0.

The man is utterly incapable of describing what is happening on the field. Beyond not knowing the score, outs, or inning you don't know if runners advance, you don't know if runners score, you don't know which base the throw is going to, and often you don't even know which base the batter advances to on a hit.

He does OK as an analyst, he tells some good stories, and he'll share the occasional bit of good insight. And he can be funny. Just bring in a third announcer (Atteberry?) to do PBP when Cory gets his innings off.

Sonny Gray needs the Chris Archer treatment - let him go 4 innings and then take 'em out before he implodes. He's been just horrific in the 5th inning on recently. Extremely unreliable.

You are absolutely correct! Squirrel didn’t like my post and maybe if you are lucky enough to see the game on tv, Gladden’s play by play wouldn’t be so bad as background noise, but believe me, if all you have is him , it’s gawd awful as 9 of 12 so eloquently pointed out.
