They would have lost had they challenged. Don’t know how you penalize a runner for a slide right on the base

Probably, but you never know with the replay officials. Jose clearly made contact with Arraez when he was in the process of the throw.

Yeah I can't recall ever seeing a team penalized for that action. I can't imagine New York would give the Twins 2 runs back on a judgement call like that.

Per the Hano book: no baseball game should ever feature a home run hit 200 feet shorter than another ball caught for an out.  But such happened in Game 1 of the '54 Series.

I don't disagree, but that's what happens when baseball is played in places not created for that purpose. The Pre-Twins played in Griffith Stadium in DC, which also had bizarre dimensions.

More sloppy baseball. This is getting damn frustrating. If I’m Rocco guys are gonna start to sit if they can’t quit making mistakes

what? that was a really nice play by Polo. If Arraez makes the right play and eats the ball, Polo is getting a ton of praise.

And Polo did fine, Rather see cc4  at s.s.

of course, we all would, but Correa doesn't exactly have a clean bill of health and you knew he would get an off day with so many games in a row

Better to rip the band-aid off quickly than slowly? They're getting their days off now matter what, now it is one game without them than two games without one each?

I just enjoy watching each of them play, especially in the same game ?

Who is the worst "first inning pitcher" in memory?

For me, I always worried on Radke's starts. When he was off, he was really off.

Clearly a "giveaway" game by Rocco, he even gave Gordon the night off against a righty.

Overall I support Rocco for the most part, but the play-for-tomorrow strategy has never sat well with me.

Seems like if we don’t score in the first inning, it’s generally a big struggle going forward

Celestino has to get to third on that, and (potentially) left a run on the board as he would've scored on Arraez ground out

watching replay looked like Celestino was looking for his base coach all the way, even Perkins said watkins was way down the line > he has to be close to the base for the runner to key in on
