twinssporto Verified Member Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 Good afternoon Twins fans and fellow game threaders! After last nights offensive explosion by the Twins I think this team is just now starting to get hot from an offensive perspective. Can we score another 10+ runs today? Tune in to find out! I fully expect the Twins will score a ton of runs today as they get deeper into the Royals bullpen. I would love to stick around and post some witty comments and sage observations but I have a tee time today at 12 noon. It will be my first round of the year so I'm not expecting much...As sure as I am the Twins will dominate today I'm not so sure about my golf game. Can I keep the ball in the fairway? Can I avoid the dreaded "3" putt? Did I lose my ability to chip after this long cold winter? I guess I'll find out soon enough. One thing I am sure about my round today...I will not be timid about cursing at my ball or my clubs.... Twins right hander Chris Archer (0-1, 3.86 ERA) steps up against the Royals righty Brady Singer (1-0, 1.83 ERA) today. Looking forward to seeing how Archer holds up. I think he's got some good stuff still left in the tank. I like the lineup today as well! Go Twins!!!! FORE!!!! Now for today's lineups: TWINS: 1. Byron Buxton, CF 2. Luis Arraez, 1B 3. Carlos Correa, SS 4. Jorge Polanco, 2B 5. Max Kepler, RF 6. Trevor Larch, DH 7. Gary Sanchez, C 8. Gio Urshela, 3B 9. Nick Gordon, LF SP - Chris Archer (R) ROYALS: 1. W. Merrifield, CF 2. A. Benintendi, LF 3. Bobby Witt, Jr., SS 4. Salvador Perez, DH 5. MJ Melendez, C 6. Hunter Dozier, RF 7. Carlos Santana, 1B 8. E. Rivera, 3B 9. Nicky Lopez, 2B SP - Brady Singer (R) Weather: Windy and Sunny. Temperature 77 degrees.
twinssporto Verified Member Posted May 28, 2022 Author Posted May 28, 2022 My pick to click today is Max Kepler. My golf predictions today: Greens in regulation 1 Number of 3 putts: 17 Lost balls: 16 Pars: 1 Birdies: 0 Double bogies: 14 Triple bogies: 1 Snowman: 2
CRF Verified Member Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 Good luck with your round today. Wish I could be on the course, rather than doing a bunch of "honey do" stuff. I still think that Arraez should be the regular lead off hitter for this team. Let's put another 10 spot on the board today, and hope that Archer can go more than his usual 4 innings.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 Could really use...make that really NEED Archer to provide more than 4 innings today. Like, six.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 Sal Perez activated. ... **(( ****@(@((( **÷*÷*÷(. **(( *** ******...[
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 This one feels like a toss up. Twin 6, Royals 5 PTC: Buxton
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 Bobby Witt is going to be very, very good. In fact, he already is.

Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 Great heads up play by Correa and Gio, and a rookie mistake by Witt.
CRF Verified Member Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 Buck looked kind of gimpy when he slowed up going into 2nd base.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 Even though they haven't scored a lot of runs so far this year, I think the Royals lineup will be pretty good.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 Buxton doubles and Arraez K's in 3 pitches on a fastball...what in the world

Schmoeman5 Verified Member Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 I was reading a thread yesterday about how patient Twins hitters were this year working counts. 12 pitch inning for Singer. But he was pounding the strike zone.
CRF Verified Member Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 Coulombe back on the IL and Cano back to StP. Minaya and Moran up.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 C'mon Archer, the club needs innings!

Doctor Gast Verified Member Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 Great job Larnach! Singer has dominated even our LH hitters Arraez, Polanco and Kepler. We need our LH hitters to come through.
bighat Verified Member Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 Very nice barehand play by Sanchez on that dribbler. Despite his shaky reputation coming out of New York, the guy's played serviceable "D".
bighat Verified Member Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 Giving Benentindi a cookie with an 0-2 count was the big mistake of the inning. Twins can't seem to get that guy out. Another Witt xbh and now we're back down. Archer looking more and more like just a warm body/placeholder out there.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 Just now, Schmoeman5 said: Witt Jr again Watching on the radio...a real left fielder catch that?
