Rosterman Verified Member Posted March 13, 2022 Author Posted March 13, 2022 KURT SUZUKI returns to the Angels under a very cheap contract. At 38, the guy is holding his own as a backup catcher! https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/03/angels-to-re-sign-kurt-suzuki.html
Rosterman Verified Member Posted March 13, 2022 Author Posted March 13, 2022 NIKO GOODRUM signs with the Astros. Another name off your former Twins who are still free agents Bingo Card. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/03/astros-to-sign-niko-goodrum.html
stringer bell Verified Member Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 Alex Columé comes off the board. He will sign with Colorado.
Rosterman Verified Member Posted March 13, 2022 Author Posted March 13, 2022 Yep, ALEX COLOME goes to Colorado. I wonder how he will do in Coors Feild. What I most feel bad about, besides the lack of interest in Alex at the trade deadline, is that the Twins kep him on as the closer rather than try anyone or anyone else who would probably be around for 2022 or even years to come. It was their opportunity to look at internal options, perhaps, and also to allow some players to walk....instead they brought up a bunch of also rans who failed to stick around when the fall off-season roster cuts started. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/03/rockies-to-sign-alex-colome.html
stringer bell Verified Member Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 Ehire Adrianza signed with the Nationals. He’s on his way to becoming the Drew Butera of utility infielders.
lecroy24fan Verified Member Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 Willians Astudillo has signed with the Marlins.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 Farewell La Tortuga. If only he had a bit of plate discipline.
Rosterman Verified Member Posted March 14, 2022 Author Posted March 14, 2022 National sign NELSON CRUZ! https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/03/nelson-cruz-deal-moving-along-quickly.html#comments
Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 Former Twin Isiah Kiner-Falefa looks like he will be the Yankees starting shortstop this season.
Rosterman Verified Member Posted March 16, 2022 Author Posted March 16, 2022 EDDIE ROSARIO returns to the Braves on a two-year $18 million contract. We know the Twins didn't want to pay Eddie that yearly figure in arbitration and he signed last season for less with the Indians. But, longterm, wonder..... Who is in left field? https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/03/braves-re-sign-eddie-rosario.html

But, longterm, wonder..... Who is in left field? Well, Larnach, Rooker and Celestino all got looks last year, although none of them did that well. Do remember a lot if good players scuffle in their first exposure to the big leagues. If he’s not needed at first, Kirilloff looks like a keeper. Down the road, either Martin or Lewis could end up in left field and be able to play center to back up Buxton. Wallner also could figure in by the end of the year.

big dog Verified Member Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 Yankees just signed Ryan LaMarre.

Rosterman Verified Member Posted March 18, 2022 Author Posted March 18, 2022 LUKE RALEY, who the Twins got in the Dozier trade and who played for Rochester in 2018-19, only to be traded back to the Dodgers along with Brusdar Graterol for Maeda and Jair Camargo in 2020, is traded to the Tampa Bay Rays. TYLER ANDERSON, a former (unsigned) 2008 draftee, was signed by the Dodgers. Meanwhile, instead of pursuing perhaps the above mentioned left-hander, the Twins signed CHI CHI GONZALEZ to a minor leage deal (thankfully not a 40-man spot) based, on part, to fond memories when our front office worked elsewhere.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted March 24, 2022 Posted March 24, 2022 Along with the recently claimed Ralph Garza Jr. now a Red Sox after being claimed, add JT Riddle to the ex-Twins list as he has signed a minor league deal with the Reds.
