Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 The game itself isn’t fun to watch, but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed listening to Kaat tonight. And learning facts about him on the thread!

RickOShea Verified Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 I think Rocco should fall on his sword.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Apparently Happ should have been done first, but I just finished dinner..... recommend chateau steak reverse seared for sure....

Rigby Verified Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Kaat was off to one of his best starts in 1972 when he broke a bone in his hand sliding. Moved on to the White Sox toward the end of the 1973 season at 34 years of age. He only had 10 more years left.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Little kid walks up to Baldelli, " He mister are you Rocco Baldelli"? Baldelli: "Ah, no kid, why'? Kid: "I just wanted to tell him to hang in there" Baldelli: "Well kid, I'll tell him you aid that". Kid: "Nah, that's okay. I don't think he knows really what's going on."
Irishman Verified Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Happ still pitch in 4th inning. Baldelli must be dumber than the 5th graders.
LA Vikes Fan Verified Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Happ is still pitching? I guess we’re going to ride this mule until he drops.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 So we’re in the 5th inning, the Twins are done hitting for the night
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Jim Kaat is 82 years old and he’s 100 times better than any current commentator in the game
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 I think this is Rocco's way of saying "DFA Happ please, thank you!"
downunder twins fan Verified Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 This would be a great time for a new pitcher.

RickOShea Verified Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Here's where Rocco stinks, IMO. Happ has been on the ropes the entire game. You got your normal 4 innings, and after giving up 5 runs, he's ready to implode. So rocco leaves Happ in, just in time for the Royals to blow this game open.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 3, 2021 Author Posted July 3, 2021 6-3 now... We can still come back, right?
garn from vancouver Verified Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 i just tuned in and see that Happ is pitching and it's 6-3. well, that's that.

RickOShea Verified Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 It's funny when pitchers think a hitter will bite on a pitch 2 1/2 ft outside. Then just to disprove my point, watch a video of Sano.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted July 3, 2021 Posted July 3, 2021 Has anyone noticed the low number of TJ surgeries this year, so far?

Either Happ was going to blow the game open, or the bullpen eventually.
