twinssporto Verified Member Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 Welcome back to another Game Thread extravaganza! Big night for the Twins...They need to start chipping away at the lead the White Sox have put on our beloved Twins this year. The Twins needed that win last night and they really need a win tonight if there is any last minute hope to gain some ground. I apologize for the late post but my flight was delayed so I'm writing this in the MSP airport. The wifi here isn't the best but hey, we are 11 games back. It's not like we have a 5 game lead before the All Star break. GO TWINS!!! Let's start winning dammit! Here are tonights lineups: TWINS: 1. Luis Arraez, 2B 2. Josh Donaldson, 3B 3. T. Larnach, LF 4. Nelson Cruz, DH 5. Max Kepler, RF 6. Alex Kirilloff, 1B 7. Nick Gordon, CF 8. Ben Rortvedt, C 9. A. Simmons, SS P - Bailey Ober, R CHICAGO: 1. Tim Anderson, SS 2. Yoan Moncada, 3B 3. Dave The Dastardly Verified Member Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 I hope the White Sox Cease and Desist.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 I say the chance of rain is higher than 8%, but then again, i'm a timezone over...
twinssporto Verified Member Posted June 30, 2021 Author Posted June 30, 2021 Kirilloff and Cruz are going yard tonight. Multiple times.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 And huzzah for Nick Gordan, spark plug extraordinaire. We're runnin' on all cylinders tonight!
twinssporto Verified Member Posted June 30, 2021 Author Posted June 30, 2021 Maybe we should bring up that kid from St. Paul that racked up runs and hits yesterday...

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 1, 2021 Posted July 1, 2021 It is apparently a delay of the rain variety?!

LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted July 1, 2021 Posted July 1, 2021 I guess there was no sticky stuff on that one either
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2021 Posted July 1, 2021 With the way Kepler has been hitting, he should really be below Kirilloff and Gordon in the lineup.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 1, 2021 Posted July 1, 2021 Now let's put up a goose egg!
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2021 Posted July 1, 2021 It never ceases to amaze me how bad MLB umpires can be. 5 inches off the plate and he is calling strikes tonight. Maybe one day there will be better options than try hard but still guessing humans.

If you are near or below the Mendoza(Sano) line, you shouldn't be in the middle of the order. Sano shouldn't be in the middle of the order either when he plays.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2021 Posted July 1, 2021 Change the ball to stop hitting, and then change the enforcement of pitching rules to create hitting. Seems the left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing.
SanoMustGo Verified Member Posted July 1, 2021 Posted July 1, 2021 You know, Gordon has been pretty damn good.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2021 Posted July 1, 2021 Too bad those massive arms of Rortvedt can't barrel up more balls at the plate.

SanoMustGo Verified Member Posted July 1, 2021 Posted July 1, 2021 Ober had the last two hitters 0-2. He will have to learn how to finish these ab's.
SanoMustGo Verified Member Posted July 1, 2021 Posted July 1, 2021 and another 0-2...this game is over

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2021 Posted July 1, 2021 Ober/under on white Sox homers tonight?
