Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 Nitpick: the 90s teams were known as solid fundamentally, but utterly lacking talent

I remember some truly awful teams from 2012-2016, never mind the 90s. But that’s picking nits. They were all terrible at baseball in fundamental ways. Biggest underachievers in my almost 3 decades of watching. 2 minutes ago, Brock Beauchamp said:

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 Donaldson acted like a clown earlier? Well knock me over with a feather. Won’t miss him when he’s gone
SanoMustGo Verified Member Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 I hope they attempt to trade Maeda..he's getting as bad as Happ and Shoemaker. Kepler can go too, had enough of him.

Didn’t Parker Hageman make a montage video of Robbie Grossman’s adventures in the OF during 2016?

You could complain all you want about Tom Kelly's approach, but he was 'blessed' with some less than talented teams.
jkcarew Verified Member Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 Horrible pitching across 6 months and 100+ games = dysfunction. Always has. Always will.

Thanks for confirming. Just spent the last 5 min combing the internet for it and came up empty… That was the worst fundamentally sound Twins team I’ve seen, no doubt.

Those 90s teams got beat due to massive talent differentials. But they never looked as bad at actually playing the game.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 Can’t help but laugh with the ticket promotions every half inning. Give it another month and the poor ticket sales reps will be breaking windshields and leave tickets on the dash.
SanoMustGo Verified Member Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 Kepler's BA is about to drop below Sano's

There can’t be a realistic likelihood of a fan buying a random ticket for a random date seeing Buxton play. Splitting legal hairs here maybe.

Those of you who don't win get four tickets."

Pretty much equal innings spent at 1B, 2B, and 3B this year. Let’s hope he spends more time at 3B in St Paul. Another 2B isn’t needed too much in Minneapolis.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 Wild winger Kirill Kaprizov wins the Calder Trophy for his win at the PGA Western Open.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 Suddenly a ballgame? Now just need the bullpen to hold them dow——
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 If Miranda is for real, I think Arraez becomes redundant and tradable in the winter. Need to make a call on Polanco or Arraez to man 2B in 2022 anyway.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 German Marquez has a no hitter through 8 for the Rockies. If he accomplishes the feat, that will be 8 official no hitters. 9 technically with Bumgarner’s 7 inning DH game.

SanoMustGo Verified Member Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 The offense is not the problem anymore
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 I went in blind to the Rockies broadcast, and they are more nervous than the pitcher lol. Voices are shaky and mumbling about nothing in particular while the Rockies hitters are at the plate.
