Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 As bad as happ is, he’s probably not in the top 5 SP’s the twins signed in the offseason in the last 5 years
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Just now, USAFChief said: This inning: walk the .181 hitting catcher who hasn't been on base in weeks, fail to cover first on a bleeder to the right side, give up a 2 strike single and then a bases clearing triple to hitters the Seattle fans hate, cause they can't hit. Let the last run in because your catcher can't catch. Well done, all the way around. Side note: coming into this game, the Twins starting staff's June ERA was just over 7.5. This isn't big league baseball. They’ve made me hate the game and I don’t like that
SanoMustGo Verified Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Jay Happ: last 30 innings 50 hits 36 runs 10 walks 9HR. Is he a major league pitcher? I think not.
mnfireman Verified Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 At least Bally Sports North priced themselves out of my internet providers range, I only have to suffer watching gameday on mlb.com. And no, I will not pay for the app next year, even if they are scores better next year.
wavedog Verified Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Ok, let’s get some runs against this mediocre pitcher.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 I don't bet on baseball games, so the Twins aren't costing me any money. Whether they win or lose doesn't affect my family's interests. Thankfully, every time they lose, I don't have a sign on me, about rooting for a loser. So why do I get so upset? Because I enjoy watching baseball and they've been a part of my life for 60 years. It's not worth the trouble or anxiety. I think I'll start an ant farm.
mikelink45 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 I just came on line to see if anyone is still listening and talking about the game. My hot take tonight is that Shoemaker and Happ are going to start piggybacking games! Should be a dynamic duo. But mostly I wanted to say thank you J - I will not be up after midnight to see if we might win - haha. So good night everyone.

Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 This free agent class has a good chance to be worse than the 2018 free agent class. This FO duo may not be the best at identifying valuable free agents.
mnfireman Verified Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Sano, just when you hope he's figured it out: 4-21 with 10 K's in his last 6 games including tonight. Cut ties and put Kirilloff at 1B when Buxton and Kepler come back. Don't know what to do with the starting pitcher rotation either, it seems beyond help at this point.

SanoMustGo Verified Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Did Happ think he was in the bullpen warming up the first two innings?
SanoMustGo Verified Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Happ keeps this up his ERA will drop below 6

SanoMustGo Verified Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 I just saw a stat: The Twins have hit ZERO home runs off the curveball this season. ZERO. They rank 1st or 2nd in all of MLB in BA and OPS against the fastball.

mnfireman Verified Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Watching Phillies - Dodgers, we could have Rhys Hoskins, 0 - his last 32, makes Sano look like an All-Star (if possible).

I think the fact that Pineda signed that year gives this current group the edge, but damn I cringed thinking about Addison Reed and Logan Morrison.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 I thought Flexen was an ad on the tv score graphic.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 I've gotten into racing snails in the past year or so. No, really. It's a thing. My best racing snail has been in a prolonged slump. I thought maybe if I took his shell off, he'd be faster. Didn't work though. If anything, it made him more sluggish.
mnfireman Verified Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Hoskins still hitting .236, don't think Sano will get that high this year.....

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 40 percent of Long's hit total for the year have come off Happ tonight.

Game7-91 Verified Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 Mid 5th, Seattle Win Probabiliy: 94%. We havent made it to our bullpen yet. Twins Win Probability: 0% The 6% lag is explained by the strikeouts, variety of mental midget plays, fielding follies, and pitching heartburn yet to come. Sigh.....
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2021 Posted June 16, 2021 I may or not be under the influence of mind altering substances right now, but I just realized we might get ten runned against the Mariners and some guy who sounds like he could be an arthritis medicine
