Feel bad for you guys watching the game at home. Mere video can't convey the majesty of an 88mph Shoemaker 4 seamer leaving our dimension.

9-0 through 5 is looking ugly. Never know though...I've seen comebacks before.

yes, but they were probably against the Twins bullpen...

Colome brings the bucket to the mound for the 9th.

I’ve come to the conclusion that when Colome, Stashak, and Thielbar don’t pitch the Twins pen succeeds.

KC bats are just stinging the ball and hitting line drives all over the place off Colome here in garbage time.

Welp. Neither of us were right.

Morneau says there are no easy at bats with the guys coming out of the bullpen. He so is not talking about our bullpen.....

I'm just excited that we'll be able to see either Duran or Balazovic pitch soon, because Shoemaker has to be on the way out.

The kind of pitching performance that lends itself to the creation of new ways to describe futility. "Hey, how did it go today?". Reply: " Bad, a total Shoemaker".

"It's not a total Shoemaker, unless it's a Matt Shoemaker. Ask for it by name."

Hoping I can catch the replay, but just the bases-clearing double/throwing error given up in the 4th.  I'd like to know what it sounded like on TV, because in the stadium it was as loud as any booing I've heard at pre-Covid Target Field.

Given the extremely low number of fans on hand, I'd say there's a good chance that some sort of MLB record for booing decibels per capita was set today.

On the other hand, the national anthem was excellent, and the lady working security at our entry gate was very nice.

Even pre-Covid, teams have been known to pipe in crowd noise through the audio system when the attendance is light. (I attended a game in Houston during their nadir and the effect was obnoxious). So perhaps the booing was manufactured. :)
