TBH, Shoemaker looked all right in the first. The second hitter poked a somewhat elevated pitch to center for a single and the third hitter hit basically a pop fly double.

I think Kirilloff will be a good hitter for the Twins in the future, but right now I'm not sure he's MLB ready. I think Larnach should have been given a shot first.

So here in Tucson, the weather is already pretty nice. In fact, the community pool in my housing development opened up this weekend.

 

I figured I'd go over for a quick swim this morning before the ball game. Place was predictably packed. Kids and moms everywhere.

 

Well, wouldn't you know it, I no sooner got there than I had to...go. Number 1.

 

I went to the deep end, way away from the kiddies...and I went. I know, I know, should have went to the restroom. But let's be honest, who hasn't done the same?

 

Well I had just started when the lifeguard is blowing her whistle at me, and I mean LOUD. Ladies yelling and shouting.

 

It really startled me! Scared me so bad I almost fell in.
