TFRazor Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 All this talk about oysters has me wondering if Chief ever got food poisoning in the 'Force. He must have been stationed at some, ahh, /interesting/ places over the course of 20 years. As if the poisoning would want anything to do with him
hybridbear Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 Does anyone who has been listening to the games on the radio know if Chick-fil-A is doing the promo this season of a free sandwich the next day if the Twins hit a double? In previous seasons that promo has only been announced on the radio right after the first double of the game hit by the Twins, and not mentioned on TV.

He must have been stationed at some, ahh, /interesting/ places over the course of 20 years.I'm reminded of the old phrase, "He was a brave man who first ate an oyster." I'm not a brave man. edit: I might have eaten some questionable street food in Korea/Thailand/PI over the years. Hard to remember, exactly. heh
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 And in a related story, Larry the launderer just resigned his position....But is said launderer getting larger?
twinssporto Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 Arraez on base 4 times today. Impressive.

I'm not a brave man.Never were short of options in some random corner of the globe and had to settle for something questionable? Edit: Ninja'd by the Chief edit.

I'm not a brave man.Not unlike the first person who looked at a chicken and said, “I think I’ll eat the next thing that comes out of that thing’s butt.”

MMMordabito Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 I wonder if Morneau has ever hoovered any lockerroom schneef.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 Dude in section 105 — you’re supposed to take off your shirt and flex when you pick that ball up!
MVP Nick Punto Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 I doubt it was food poising. It was probably something a penicillin shot could clear up though. An upper respiratory infection?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 Not unlike the first person who looked at a chicken and said, “I think I’ll eat the next thing that comes out of that thing’s butt.”Another data point for my long held belief, timing is the key to life.

And maybe even one or two places where food poisoning was like 'You know what, I forgot to do something at home, so I'm just gonna take off and leave you guys to it'.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 Garlick looked he may have been pressing.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 I wonder if Morneau has ever hoovered any lockerroom schneef?Another sign I'm getting old... I had to Urban Dictionary 'schneef'.

ashbury Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 Morneau said "worst case scenario," I guess, but I heard "worst case Sano."
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 Not unlike the first person who looked at a chicken and said, “I think I’ll eat the next thing that comes out of that thing’s butt.” Very true, although with the caveat that at some point during the second or third consecutive day without food, most people's culinary horizons broaden considerably.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 Another sign I'm getting old... I had to Urban Dictionary 'schneef'."USAFSchneef" turned up with zero hits.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 Stinks Sano didn’t plate a run, but I liked his approach, even with getting jobbed on a strike call.

MVP Nick Punto Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 "USAFSchneef" turned up with zero hits. I think I saw a definition of that in the early 90s on Usenet, but I forget what it was.
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 Morneau said "worst case scenario," I guess, but I heard "worst case Sano."Would that be three consecutive swings on sliders low and away?
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 4, 2021 Posted April 4, 2021 Morneau said "worst case scenario," I guess, but I heard "worst case Sano." Miguel Angel Jean Worst Case Sano... No wonder his christening had an intermission.
