Discussion of Ohtani pitching and hitting. My understanding is Morneau’s, which is that if Ohtani bats on a day he pitches, they have foregone the DH. 
 

If that’s indeed the case, it seems a dumb idea to have him hit, since they’ll shoot their bench if he gets pulled early.
