Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 It's so nice to see baseball games being played again. This offseason was torturous.
Twins Twerp Provisional Member Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 That is a speedy outfield
Shane Wahl Verified Member Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Holy crap, those relievers are battling for probably two spots, if not one.
Oldgoat_MN Verified Member Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 That is a speedy outfield Didn't really look at it until you posted.A REALLY fast outfield!
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Let's have some chatter...

James Verified Member Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 I finally brought a radio into work so I can actually start listening to the day games. I can't wait to hear about this outfield making some great catches.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 That is a speedy outfield2/3 of the starting OF when the Twins get good (I hope).
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 It's supposedly raining there. It's windy as heck here in Ft Myers, with a tornado watch til 3. Tee time at 3:17. so everything's up in the air, literally.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 It's so nice to see baseball games being played again. This offseason was torturous. Amen to that.
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted February 26, 2013 Author Posted February 26, 2013 The game started pretty much on time. The teams didn't get batting practice. Hicks-Mastroianni-Mauer went 1-2-3 in the top of the 1st.
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted February 26, 2013 Author Posted February 26, 2013 This is the point in which we need to say that he numbers that Pelfrey puts up today/this spring don't matter. It's only important that he is back on the mound again.
twinsfanstl Verified Member Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 whew...how many pitches in that inning?
edavis0308 Provisional Member Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 And the Jays go 1-2-3...4-5-6...7. 11 strikes and 1 ball for Pelfrey though.

It's only important that he is back on the mound again. I think that the only thing that really matters for Pelfrey in spring training is that we see improvement throughout. He was up and down in this outing but we saw some good things in there as well.
PseudoSABR Verified Member Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 They took Pelfry out mid inning....
mcrow Provisional Member Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 They took Pelfry out mid inning.... So?
mcrow Provisional Member Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Anyone else holding their breath with Morneau's slide at home? Whew.
PseudoSABR Verified Member Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 So?I was worried there might be something going on. He was only at 15 pitches. Maybe someone was listening and could mitigate my concerns...

It sounds like they just had him on a hard pitch count and he'd come out as soon as he reached it.
glunn Community Moderator Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Each of today's 3 outfielders has gotten a hit. That makes me happy.

Please note that some of us are relying on those of us who have radio access to provide such comforting details.
mcrow Provisional Member Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Sounds like all the Outfielders have had good games. Mastroianni made a real nice jumping catch against the wall earlier in the game.
James Verified Member Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Oh man, I go to a meeting for a half an hour and the Twins score two runs and no update on thread.
mcrow Provisional Member Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Sorry, would have done some play-by-play posts had I realized people would be following.
LoganJones Provisional Member Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 I was worried there might be something going on. He was only at 15 pitches. Maybe someone was listening and could mitigate my concerns...I don't think that is a correct pitch count, considering he faced 10 Batters and struck 2 out.
ScottyB Verified Member Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 How'd we score? - No access to radio
