ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 More major league stuff.
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 HBD, do you have Five-Man Infield?
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Keeping 2 outfielders that deep doesn't make sense. Buxton will score on any of them.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Where’s gene Larkin when you need him
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 What I don't get. An intentional walk to Kepler was totally in order. Now they have a chance at a double play. Why would they have let him swing at all? Just ... weird.
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Well that's one way to do it.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Gotta say, that was ugly baseball on both sides.
MVP Nick Punto Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Trying to keep track of my Kepler stats. Do you think he's the first German born player hit by a pitch in the 12th inning of an MLB game?
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Trying to play the short game against Buxton is... a bad idea.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 TWINS WIN!!! I am ALL IN on the new extra inning rule. Gives the game intensity and excitement throughout. What a GEM from Maeda, was about 2 feet from potentially making history. Rogers is discouraging, but I have confidence he will bounce back at some point. Thielbar and Alcala both pitched very well, and the offense got the job done eventually. A very exciting game capped off with a Twins win! Until tomorrow, Go Twins!!!
Channing1964 Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 YEEEEEEEEEEÀAAAAH BABY....16-8 ......HOW BOUT THEM MINNESOTA TWINS!!!!!
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Alcala deserves a lot of credit. Hell of a pitching job
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Author Posted August 19, 2020 Well, i guess we won after all...

Channing1964 Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 This may be Alcala's first mlb win as well
rghrbek Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Rogers struggles s/b a bit of a concern in a shortened season. Duffy s/b in the mix at the end of games. Can't be this faithful over the next 25 games. Also shocked that they think Sano is that bad to be replaced in the field, guessing he might have caught that ball? Don't know but let's keep the big bats in there, even in extras. Don't need a ton of ab's for Vargas and Adrianza. Especially when game is on the line. Regardless a win is a win, counts as almost 3.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Author Posted August 19, 2020 Sorry we drew it out so long...
MVP Nick Punto Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Probably. You will have to check if that ever happened to Donald Lutz...Wikipedia shows him as being born in NY. So even if he was, Max could still have the distinction.

I can catch up on sleep if I turn off the camera during tomorrow’s Zoom calls. Another reason why MLB should look at this format or another in a non COVID season. This could've gone on forever.
Sielk Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Wikipedia shows him as being born in NY. But apparently that means "grew up in Germany".

But apparently that means "grew up in Germany".Quite. As wikipedia puts it, "Lutz was the first German-developed player to play in the modern Major Leagues."
