And for the record, the Brewers have sacrificed their DH, though the pitcher’s spot is nine hitters away.

 

do we still have that runner on second for every extra inning?

And Hader last pitched on Friday and Sunday, so I wouldn’t be surprised we see him in the 11th as well. 

 

(Especially if the Brewers score.)

 

Oops. Didn’t think about that Hader would have to be used as the runner, so he’s been pulled.

How did the runner get to second? This will never be explained. It is a ghostly question, like the origin of life. In the nearly 2 centuries of baseball, suddenly a runner pops up at second, as if out of the ground. How did he get there?

Well, I did have “Hader strikes out rookie Vargas in high leverage situation” on my bingo card,

 

but unfortunately it didn’t line up with Maeda no-hitter, Squeeze Play, and Player Ejection for the Bingo
