Berrios’ career trajectory looks a lot more like Scott Baker than a Johan/Verlander/Scherzer type.

I don't think anyone expected Berrios to be Scherzer/Verlander/Johan. He is definitely already much, much better than Scot Baker ever was, though.

True, he is only 26. So he could develop into Scherzer/Verlander/Johan. I just don't think it's very likely.

Baker and Berrios have nearly identical WHIPs ... before that home run! As well as identical ERAs!

Seems Baldelli was playing for the split, today, but hoping for better. After all, he burned Duffey, Romo, and Taylor in the first game.

Are you seriously saying that Berrios is not better than Baker? Sure, he's struggling right now, but he's clearly better at this age than Baker ever was.

that's on Rocco. No way he should have let Berrios face Merrifield in that situation.

Pretty sad state of affairs when a guy like berrios is in “can’t let him face” territory in the...checks watch...4th inning

And the team really isn't trying very hard to extend his contract. I don't think they are real believers either.
