In theory Sox should be trying to lose. Whats the point of winning 70 games? They should want that top seven draft pick!

 

That's how the front office would think, but I can't imagine the players buying into that thinking. As a GM, I'd say play the kids so we can see what they can do, but as a player, I'm going all out all the time.

Totally get this. I was talking to some of my friends who are Mets fans. They aren't going to get the wild card. They are going end up around .500 and get a 18-22 first round pick. Tank! That's my motto if you're not in it. The Pirates know what's up...

We are just getting warmed up and I guarantee you the Squirrel traps outside are gone...haha Jake looked really sad in the dugout...I think he needs a Cruz hug and get to hold Ebire, the stuffed Squirrel...

Check out Stashak- he looks like he'd fold up in a high wind like a patio chair.

Check out these bruisers on the Sox, like Palka and Cordero-

 

Right now, this game, Stashak > the Bruisers.

 

It doesn't matter how big your biceps or your beer belly are, you can excel in this game if you've got the right stuff inside.

Wade hasn't put up notable stats in the minors, but he does have a good eye and appears to be a smart and sound player. It seems Bremer thinks he is pretty special. I just don't think he'll hit enough to be a substantial player.

He's only had 25 plate appearances! :)

True, but his minor league numbers haven't dazzled me.  Doesn't look like he makes good contact that often
