Game Thread: Twins @ Red Sox, 9/5/19 @ 6:10 CT

[ashbury]

With that facial hair, Barnes looks remarkably like David Price.

[Aggies7]

Can we keep jim kaat alive forever?

[Aggies7]

Man what a bummer. Swung at ball 4

[FLTwinsGuy]

Ball 4 Max!!

[VATwinsFan]

Lol...made no sense but it worked.

Baseball.

[Riverbrian]

Astudillo took 4 straight pitches...

You could tell that he was making a serious effort to be disciplined.

He has shown me that he has that club in his bag.

He needs to use it more and we just might have something.

[Nine of twelve]

OK pitchers, we have our lead. Get these 9 outs and let's go home with a 8-2 road trip.

Lol...if it were only that easy with this club

[wabene]

Mayday?

[PDX Twin]

This is a truly frightening infield for the Twins. Let's hope for fly balls...

[VATwinsFan]

Giving May a chance for redemption.

[notoriousgod71]

Trevor May... why??

Perez is finally pitching lights out. Let him go. He had 70 pitches for Christ's sake.

[wabene]

Sweet Bender!!

Maybe two long innings in the dugout? Maybe because he has been terrible most of the last three months?

[Riverbrian]

Lol...made no sense but it worked.

In my opinion, Schoop doesn't handle the hammers very well... Barnes has a big hammer.

Barnes can't walk the guy so Asttdillo was a good choice... in my opinion. On top of that... Astudillo went up there with a plan and he normally doesn't... this made it much more beautiful.

It was a great AB!

[ashbury]

Wow, May's location against Martinez was amazing.

[wabene]

Who do you root for the Packers or the Bears? I'd say the Packers a home loss would look nice pinned on Da Bears.

May as well cycle through the bullpen til we find the guy that doesn't have it tonight.

[Riverbrian]

Dang it... I got run to CVS before they close.

I'm having trouble keeping the TV working when I try taking it with me.

[FLTwinsGuy]

Is that Byron out there? Lol

[VATwinsFan]

CAVE A RONI !!!!

[Aggies7]

What a catch my god. That was an easy double off the bat

[ashbury]

Good catch by Cave.

[PDX Twin]

Buxton catches that (and injures himself!).

[operation mindcrime]

YEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT A CATCH CAVE!!!!!!!!!

[ashbury]

Red Sox announcers raving about Minnesota's defense. Though, Jerry Remy did tap the brakes a little.

[wabene]

Whoot!

[FLTwinsGuy]

Love that Defense

[notoriousgod71]

Astudillo makes Robbie Alomar circa 1992 look like Dan Uggla circa any year.

[VATwinsFan]

Gold glove defense -- who woodathunkit?
