not to mention, the Twins haven't won anything yet. They dont have room to needlessly rest anyone, least of all the guy they consider their #1 starter.

Should be doable to skip a Berrios start. Some 5.5 game leads have been made up in September, but Cleveland looks shaky.

I think that it's become pretty obvious that when pitching every 5th day Berrios can't sustain a high level of performance late into the year. The Twins almost have to shut him down at this point and hope a few weeks rest can get him back on track for the playoffs. Also, in future seasons the team needs to treat him like they have Pineda and give him a couple of breaks during the seasons.

Just think what a great reliever he’d be!

Jim Kaat is probably right, better off pitching on 3 days rest than 5.  The extra day off didn't help, and a pitcher has better control with less time off.

Welp, looks like the stars aren't aligned in the Twins' favor tonight. Never fun to watch a soft-tossing lefty dominate this team. Nor is it fun watching guys blow opportunities with men on base every inning.

I mean is it going to get to the point in baseball where we have 7 man rotations? What is going on? You can't tell me Walter Johnson wasn't bringing the heat. Those rotations of the past were three or four man rotations and they still played around 150 games a year. Shouldn't, with all these technological advancements, pitchers be getting stronger?
