MNT1996 Verified Member Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Pretty sure that was a slider....and really wasn't an awful pitch. Did you see where he hit it? Perfect spot for Devers.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 He goes right back to what has gotten him killed all year-- 2 strike breaking ball- ??
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Dammit, Trevor. Wasn't necessarily a terrible pitch. Time to get back with the bats!
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 I know May has been very effective lately, but I haven't seen most of his good outings. Maybe I shouldn't watch when he pitches.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Well Twins got old May tonight. Let's not give him a 2nd inning Rocco.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 I know May has been very effective lately, but I haven't seen most of his good outings. Maybe I shouldn't watch when he pitches.yeah what’s wrong with you
IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Well, that was less than an enjoyable half-inning.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Yeah, folk here were kinda pleased with that homerun.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Well Twins got old May tonight. Let's not give him a 2nd inning Rocco. there’s only 14 guys in the bullpen. No need to stretch anyone out for conservancy
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 I was just commenting we were more likely to see Buxton in a close game...

Maybe I shouldn't watch when he pitches.I've had the same general experience. The times I've seen more emotion from him, he does better. I usually don't want to play the pop-psych game on pro players, but I do have an occasional opinion on the subject.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 When was the last game with two pitchers wearing glasses?
gocgo Verified Member Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 One would think that May would have learned by now...breaking ball gets whacked.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Man, couldn't have a worse batter-runner to try to leg out that smash to third base, than Cruz. Oh wait, I forgot Cron.
Darius Verified Member Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 I thought that this series would be a great barometer for the true state of the bullpen. Not a good start for May with another monster home run allowed.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Yeah, folk here were kinda pleased with that homerun.Did they show some appreciation for that long bomb by Sano, earlier?
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 I thought that this series would be a great barometer for the true state of the bullpen. Not a good start for May with another monster home run allowed. Can't lose sleep on a HR from a guy like Devers, kid is a helleva player
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Just looking at Sano's shape. The gut is gone! He's back to being lean and mean!
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Just looking at Sano's shape. The gut is gone! He's back to being lean and mean!Practically gaunt.
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Can't lose sleep on a HR from a guy like Devers, kid is a helleva player Was probably also helped out by the weird layout of Fenway. May have been a foul in Target Field. And noooo way that was a 430 ft home run if Sano's was only 460 ft.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 7 sliders in that Sano at bat
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 May still out there?????
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 May has never been a guy that performed well under pressure, and the pressure is definitely on him now
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Lucky strike out... I’m ok with that
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Cleveland now leads Chicago 5-2 going into the eighth.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Lucky strike out... I’m ok with that I least give him some credit. He blew that past JD.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Cleveland now leads Chicago 5-2 going into the eighth. Boooo! Hiss!! Big 3 run HR by Perez the difference maker
