FLTwinsGuy Verified Member Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Glad we got that 9 run lead.... Well 8 now
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 And there is activity in the bullpen. Can’t see who’s up from here.
Blake Verified Member Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Give the Sox credit, they're not mailing in their AB's.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Berrios and the dreaded 5th inning with a big a$$ lead.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Berrios looks to be back to pre-all star Berrios; tons of movement on his pitches, but not nearly enough consistency in putting them where he wants.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Cron just needs that triple.Maybe, the next time he comes up, if there is a guy on base, Cron can hit what should be a HR. BUT, the guy on base waits (for like 20 minutes) for Cron to catch him and has Cron touch home before him. That would credit Cron with a triple I believe as long as Cron doesn’t touch any other base before the runner already on. Of course, that probably violates unwritten rules.
Blake Verified Member Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 And I just heard some good insight from Bert regarding pitch selection.
FLTwinsGuy Verified Member Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Too much movement there for Jose
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 And there is activity in the bullpen. Can’t see who’s up from here.Scurry on down there and check it out, ya squirrel
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Scurry on down there and check it out, ya squirrelThey aren’t as friendly to squirrels here and there is too much security between me and the bp
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted August 29, 2019 Author Posted August 29, 2019 Challenging a play up 7? Rocco trying to get Rosario plunked?
rkevin Provisional Member Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Berrios and the dreaded 5th inning with a big a$$ lead.Yup. From what I read he is the only modern-day starting pitcher to have a 15 run lead in a game and not get the win (May 18 vs Seattle). He got yanked in that game in the dreaded 5th.
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted August 29, 2019 Author Posted August 29, 2019 The Twins would not even hurt a Fry.
wabene Verified Member Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Don't mean to toot my own horn but I did mention something about getting rid of Cron yesterday and ever since he's been on a tear.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 And he’s back for another.
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted August 29, 2019 Author Posted August 29, 2019 Don't mean to toot my own horn but I did mention something about getting rid of Cron yesterday and ever since he's been on a tear. You think that’s something? Well, I dropped Cron and Schoop from my fantasy team. . . . Though that was a month ago. . . . So probably no connection there.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 If he doesn’t get this out time to pull him.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Probably one of Berrios' better August starts, but he's still not sharp
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 So, home field advantage(?) to the opposition in the playoffs seems like a recipe for success for the Twins this year
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted August 29, 2019 Author Posted August 29, 2019 Berrios has three wild pitches. But Castro could have done better on those pitches.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Probably one of Berrios' better August starts, but he's still not sharp He's got great stuff today, but is having trouble locating it.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 At least we have some reason to have a slightly lower level of angst over the BP than before.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Yeah Pineda is the ace of this staff now. He's the only one I trust at the moment in a big game.
Bandit34 Provisional Member Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Oh...Berrios!!! That's all I'm going to say...Oh Berrios.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Berrios has three wild pitches. But Castro could have done better on those pitches. From my vantage point, I’m not sure about that
bighat Verified Member Posted August 29, 2019 Posted August 29, 2019 Two runs have been scored on Wild Pitches, for what it's worth. Dude's also thrown 4 WPs (another just now). Seems OK for the most part, but he's a bit off still.
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted August 29, 2019 Author Posted August 29, 2019 Make that 4 wild pitches. That last one was terrible.
Marek Houston Wichita Wind Surge - AA SS On Saturday, Houston went 3-for-5 and scored two runs. After a short slump, he is now back over .290 on the season. Explore Marek Houston News >
