Game Thread: Twins @ Chicago White Sox 7:10 PM 7/26/19

[Blake]

Just joining the game-thread in progress, and I'm REALLY struggling to reverse-engineer where this'un came from. Seems beyond just normal 5-2 lead hijinks. I will study this.

Wut?

Game threads just are. Be the game thread. Feel the game thread. Don't try to understand the game thread!

And, now, some sage advice;

[DiscGolfer]

Sano "That is one big athletic man"

[ashbury]

No no, I knew all that. I just made the rookie mistake, and tried to understand Riverbrian.

My imagination is so good that I can imagine a talking Gorilla calling me the Boogie Woogie King inside of an Applebees with a cat serving us food from the Olive Garden.

That actually happened, didn't it?

[Riverbrian]

That actually happened, didn't it?

It was a typical Tuesday.

[Mike Sixel]

You don't keep an emergency stash of junk food? For shame!

Pretty low on food right now. I've been eating it all, and not shipping much. I mostly have junk right now.....

The Swype keyboard on this ipad sucks at greeting the right word....

[Blake]

It was a typical Tuesday.

True story:

It was a typical Tuesday.

True story!

Toothpaste sandwich?

For variety, i recommend the toothpaste taco.

[Squirrel]

No no, I knew all that. I just made the rookie mistake, and tried to understand Riverbrian.

Who?

[Mill1634]

Indians lead 5-1 heading into the 7th

[sampleSizeOfOne]

I'm going to say something shocking.

This type of statement usually receives an immediate backlash.

However, I thought a lot about it and it's possible it's not crazy.

Here we go.

Arraez reminds me of Kirby Puckett circa 1984.

There ya go.

I said it.

So nice to be reminded of things!

[Blake]

Who?

As you wish:

[PDX Twin]

Looks like the Twins have decided that 5 is enough. I don't agree.

[Riverbrian]

Who?

Yep

Another Rookie Mistake from Ash.

[sampleSizeOfOne]

That actually happened, didn't it?

Did he start with "true story"?

[Squirrel]

Yep

Another Rookie Mistake from Ash.

Who?

[Riverbrian]

So nice to be reminded of things!

That reminds me. Big Mike mentioned popcorn. I'm gonna pop some.

[ashbury]

Who?

Oh no you don't. I'm not falling for that, and trying to understand you on the same day I tried to understand Riverbrian.

[Riverbrian]

Who?

With those big eyes of yours... I knew it was a matter of time before you turned into an Owl.

[Blake]

My imagination is so good that I can imagine a talking Gorilla calling me the Boogie Woogie King inside of an Applebees with a cat serving us food from the Olive Garden.

You should have said this before the Arraez comparison.

[Blake]

Did he start with "true story"?

Based on past writings, has to be a definite possibility.

[nicksaviking]

Well played!

Not so well. I got distracted making the Manhattan, and the popcorn oil got too hot. Mostly I have half popped, burned, popcorn. I might have to eat an apple....

You buried the lede, is the Manhattan ok?

[Mill1634]

Fantastic play by Arraez!!!!

[Riverbrian]

You should have said this before the Arraez comparison.

You are right... No way Puckett makes that play at 2B.

[LVTwinsfan]

Nice play

[Mill1634]

Let Pineda start the next inning? Interesting at 89 pitches, probably can't get through the 7th, but could get one or two batters. Bullpen is fairly well rested, and probably need to get May an inning of work.

[sampleSizeOfOne]

You are right... No way Puckett makes that play at 2B.

Could Buxton?

He's supposed to be fast...

But i'm pretty sure if a Centerfielder could do that, we wouldn't 2nd basemen.

[HawksNest]

Another run or 2 here would be great

[DiscGolfer]

Before the game I was hoping Mike would make it into the 7th, after the 3rd wasn't so sure but nice outing here
