USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 Astudillo shedding uniform components as he approaches the sound barrier...It needs to be a sound barrier, or it won't stop him. bah-dum-tsschhh
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 It needs to be a sound barrier, or it won't stop him. bah-dum-tsschhhHow long did you weight to post a willans fat joke
Han Joelo Verified Member Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 Schoop's been a disappointment to be honest. He's looked bad up there for a while, and with the exception of one big HR in Tampa a couple weeks ago, I can't remember him doing anything meaningful for a long, long time.Took me longer to read this than his at bat lasted.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 Glen sparkman sounds like a late night host from the 60’s

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 Not a lot of action tonight here, just us diehards
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 How long did you weight to post a willans fat jokemore of a phat Willians joke, I'd say.

This is who he is. Hopefully he can give us a solid 2.5 WAR season and that will be that.
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 I’m behind in the game (watching mlb.tv delayed), but I just want to say that that catch by Alex Gordon off the wall was one of the best catches I’ve ever seen. I hate that guy, but....respect.

jz7233 Provisional Member Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 I would not want to see Cave again in Twins uniform. I would like to see Sano and Schoop sit on the bench as much as possible. Sano could ride minor league buses for a few weeks to get his head straight.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 Dude in Alexa commercial: "Alexa, play Whitney Houston." Alexa: "You've been listening to Whitney Houston since the commercial started, dimwit."

I hate that guy, but....respect.When I was a kid we used to play 500 under a big fat leafy shade tree. The idea was to throw the ball up into the trees branches and leaves as hard as you could and catch it on the rocochet coming down. It was like that.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 If the royals hold on here, they’ll be 11-13 against the twins the past 2 seasons and 76-136 against everyone else

AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 Sparkman is Jeff Daniels’ doppelgänger from Dumb and Dumber.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 I think a team meeting needs to happen regarding this defense. Not ok.

AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 Wasn’t a catch though!Yes, but the best damn catch I’ve seen in a long time. Cris Carter-esque. (Or maybe Donald Driver?)
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 Now garver out with heel soreness. Oh boy
David HK Verified Member Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 Wow, this is pathetic to watch. Glad it's kind of a busy day, and stuff to do. (Like cursing my way through excel file hell entering grades and stuff...) Rex the Wonder Dog had a good point, though- infielders are playing well out of their usual positions with all the shifting these days, sometimes you have to take unfamiliar routes to field balls, and feel you have to rush everything. It's still pathetic to watch, though. Feels like a Twins/Royals game circa 2016.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 Omg sano should have been wrung up twice and he’s still batting
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 Not to worry, he struck out 3 times in that at bat. Low leverage
bighat Verified Member Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 Embarassing. Oh well, 9 game lead and still one of the best records in baseball. Remember the good 'ol days when the Twins looked like they couldn't lose?
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 How was that not a strike?
bighat Verified Member Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 Sano have options? I know the philosophy is "he needs to get his feet wet up here in MLB" but he's not improving, he's circling the drain at this point. I'm starting to feel like when Buxton is activated, we keep Astudillo here and demote Sano. I know that's bad for his trade value, but he's dead weight right now on this team.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 I'm not sure how people can defend Sano after watching these ABs. He isn't close to hitting anything and I believe he's struck out 10 times in the last 4 games 12 times in his last 18 PAs. I can't wait for Thrylos to tell me about his great OPS and why I should stop complaining. On the other hand, Kohl Stewart has looked very good thus far. Much better than Odorizzi, surprisingly.
