Baldelli (probably) after the game: "Well sometimes the bounces don't go your way and you make some errors". This team has missed play after play this series. Talk to your team about the poor defense and give them mandatory fielding practice.

It’s two games.

Besides, mandatory fielding practice won’t do a damned thing in the middle of June.

I have now watched five Royals runs score and zero Twins runs score.

Stay in your basement or go outside.  We'll let you know as soon as we win.

Folks, Brock is not watching the game right now.  We have a rally going.

Wayda go Cruz!

More times than not, this team needs to score 5-6 runs to win a ball game. More times than not, they can accomplish that feat.

Problem is that in the playoffs, you'll be going against shutdown pitchers every time. The Astros, for example, will throw Verlander and Cole at you in the first 2 games of a series. Red Sox will throw Sale and Price. Etc, etc. The Twins could find themselves down 2-0 in playoff series very quickly.

The subject has been beaten to death so I don't know why I'm piling on but this team is built to win regular season games, not playoff games. We've seen the Yankees already bring in Encarnacion. Cubs and Braves signing big name pitchers. When are the Twins going to start making moves?

That doesn't work, as I literally only have the game playing in my basement and outside.

Any chance you can blind fold yourself or take a brisk walk around the block?

Why are they built to only win regular season games? I understand the bullpen is shaky and certainly needs to be addressed but offense has often ruled the day in recent postseasons (of course, whose pitching staff imploded the least has also been a factor).

I think the idea of "pitching, pitching, pitching" in the postseason is kinda outdated, though relief pitching is certainly a key factor in today's game.

He is, actually. I think it’s charming.

Yeah upon closer inspection it is a father's day tie, I believe.

E-L-E-V-E-N left on base. Yeezus, we should be winning this game.

If you leave 11 on base and go 2-11 with RISP you don't deserve to win games

That's 22 LOB (left on base per plate appearance)! Yikes.

Also, did that 7th inning last an hour? That took forever to get through.

I don’t disagree with you, but there has to be the threat of complacency around the corner when you’d had a double digit division lead since May. Homefield is certainly something to fight for, but let’s just be honest here, avoiding playing the Yankees would be a higher priority for me. Just my 2c

It’s a valid opinion. But, I say bring on the Yankees. That demon needs excersizing either way.

I could be wrong, but I don’t think there is much to worried about in the way of complacency for a few reasons:

1). Previously mentioned playoff seeding

2). These are highly competitive athletes, and it’s a pride thing. They don’t want to go out there and perform poorly.

3). Ties into 2)., they are always playing for their job/new contract (on this team especially loaded with short term deals or rookie).
