Dick or Justin mentioned that Perez looks a little like Johan Santana out there. I agree. He's throwing a lot of those cutter/sliders, using the arm motion to slow it down and speed it up. He's also flashed a curiously good change that sinks arm-side. He's also getting good power on his heater. This is a very dangerous combination of pitches. No wonder Perez is smiling a lot. Life is good right now for Martin Perez.
