Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Wow, nice double play pulled off by Gonzalez there!

twinssporto Verified Member Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 God bless the double play (when it works for the Twins not against).God bless MarwinGod bless Vlad
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 If gamecast is to be believed, that first Rosie swung at would have hit him, were he a righty. Pitchers have figured out they don’t have to throw strikes huh? Edit: then he crushes a homer.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 4.2 innings for Stroman, nice!
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Ouch, those were some terrible calls.
Blake Verified Member Posted May 7, 2019 Author Posted May 7, 2019 Hmm, maybe the Toronto "Ace" is a third starter, at best, on another team?
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Terrible calls...but we'll take it!Do we have the option to not take it?
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Haha we'll take that strikeout!!!
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Well, it appears Martin is doing it again.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Do we have the option to not take it? No
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Dick or Justin mentioned that Perez looks a little like Johan Santana out there. I agree. He's throwing a lot of those cutter/sliders, using the arm motion to slow it down and speed it up. He's also flashed a curiously good change that sinks arm-side. He's also getting good power on his heater. This is a very dangerous combination of pitches. No wonder Perez is smiling a lot. Life is good right now for Martin Perez.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Castro is on quite the hot streak
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Perez is dealing. Give him the 7th for sure
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 This run he's on right now is nuts.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Hip Hip!!Jorge! (Just filling it in for those who didn't get it.)
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Perez is dealing. Give him the 7th for sureHmm, interesting. He is dealing, but maybe take him out since we've got a cushion and not overwork him, have him well-positioned for his next start.
Diesel Verified Member Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Vlad Jr. needs to work on his fielding just a bit
wavedog Verified Member Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Just tuning in - not much better than seeing a 7-0 game. Perez is sure on a roll!
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Vlad Jr. needs to work on his fielding just a bit How was that a hit? If it had nicked his glove it would have been an error, but it went under his glove so was it was a hit. Well.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Hmm, interesting. He is dealing, but maybe take him out since we've got a cushion and not overwork him, have him well-positioned for his next start. after their off day on Thursday, they play 14 games in 13 days. With the 26th man for the double header, I’d rather keep the bullpen as fresh as possible.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 This ump has been really bad. But I would say that he has been consistently bad, therefore kind of good.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 At the moment, Martin Perez is the most dominant pitcher in the rotation. To me, it looks likePerezOdorizziBerriosGibsonPinedain order of dominance.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 7, 2019 Posted May 7, 2019 Eddie Rosario is really good at tracking fly balls.
