Interesting that Adrianza sat against lowly Baltimore but has been in the lineup against Houston the last 2 times the Twins have played the Astros.

So the “lefty heavy lineup” includes 2 righties and a lefty on the bench? That’s doesn’t seem that abnormal.

We have only a 3-man bench, so an extreme platoon situation is hard to do. They could use the lefty-hitting catcher, except his career numbers against Verlander are atrocious. I think it's fair to say that lefty-heavy is their approach to the game, modified with pragmatism.

He has a .767 career OPS vs Verlander. While that is well off his career mark, it probably is better than a lot of the guys IN the lineup. This just in: Verlander doesn’t suck.

So would I. In fact, I don't really agree with the experts that Cleveland is going to run away with this division. I don't think they're that good. This division is winnable, but any playoff appearance is better than what we've seen for the majority of the last decade.

That 0-2 yakker to Cave was just unfair. Not really a strike but not the kind of pitch you dare to lay off, but not the kind of pitch you can likely do anything with if you do swing. Choose your poison, you're out either way.

Oh. My. Gosh. I'm getting so tired of this. ANOTHER phone call from Mrs Chief complaining about car issues. She calls me like, once a week with some huge car crisis or another. "Won't start." "Flat tire." yada yada yada.
