jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 I swear, if I was manager, I'd fine Stewart every time he just stands there staring at the catcher. He spends more time mulling over pitches than a golfer does studying a putt...and then he throws a pitch that's a foot outside the zone. For the sake of all whiffle balls, get rid of the ball before we all fall asleep! And it's not like mulling over a pitch increases his command. He looked much better when he quit just standing there. My god, baseball is murderously boring when people are just standing around!

bighat Verified Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Cruz appears to be just missing on a few of these. Currently on pace for 18 HR this year or something? When do we start playing the White Sox, Royals, and Tigers repeatedly?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Just back from a late meal on the East Coast. About what I expected from Stewart against a good Astro lineup in a bandbox. I don't think Stewart has enough stuff to be a successful big-league pitcher. Five innings is maybe better than I expected.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 What’s the point of Stewart still being in the game
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Wow Castro the gunslinger!
bighat Verified Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 What’s the point of Stewart still being in the game Game is lost, no reason burning other bullpen arms. White flag is up, Stewart is fodder, just eating innings at this point.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 CROM for gold glove!!!!

MMMordabito Verified Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Well he gave us sixAs much or more than anyone not named Berrios
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 I've seen enough of Kohl Stewart!I'm told to count on him for next year's rotation.... I really thought between Jay and Kohl, one would work out somehow. In a timeframe much faster than this.
wavedog Verified Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Hopefully gained some confidence from the last 2 innings and going 6
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 Stewart probably earned another chance /w 6 innings. Still not convinced about his future. I still expect he’ll be sent back to Rochester tomorrow.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 We should trade Kohl Stewart, Nick Gordon, Tyler Jay and Stephen Gonsalves for Madison Bumgarner! Who says no?
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 More of that please ... Top three 'stros barrell nothing
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 We should trade Kohl Stewart, Nick Gordon, Tyler Jay and Stephen Gonsalves for Madison Bumgarner! Who says no? Heck of a run of high first round picks. You can't be a good team if you are wrong that often.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 oh, that was your attempt at humor? i will not be deterred. I know a lot of people with poor taste.

Dman Verified Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 I am happy Stewart went 6. At least he saved the bullpen some work. Houston has a tough lineup. I think given where he is at he did his job tonight. The offense didn't do enough to get us a win tonight anyway. Hopefully we can get even when we play them at home.

ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 No, nothing I am aware of has changed. If you want to post a GIF/JPG from the Internet, click the "Image" icon to the right of the bullet item thingie. If the image is on your computer, you need to click "Use Full Editor" and then use the Browse and then Attach tools. It's not as simple as perhaps it could be... That's a fair picture of me, I guess, because I tells you I simply do not have the capacity to attach an image

In a timeframe much faster than this. Yeah. Teams like the Braves have a 21 year-old kid (Soroka) who got the W tonight vs. Cincy...and this is his 2nd year in the bigs. And it's not just ATL, lots of teams have regular starters playing at age 21, 22, etc. Position players like Soto in Washington and Acuna are both 21 and are entering their 2nd seasons. Rafael Devers is 22 entering his 3rd year in Boston. Adalberto Mondesi was playing with the Royals in the World Series at age 20. Twins system doesn't do that. Either it's an organizational policy or poor drafting.
Dman Verified Member Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 If 5 runs in 6 innings is doing his job, then he won't have a job for long. I'm just saying Pineda gave up 4 runs in 5 innings and supposedly he is a seasoned vet. I guess he won't be round long either.
