Two Veteran AB's by the Doze and Joe (LoMo takes 4 straight and Joe jumps the first pitch)

Why is it so bad to jump on a first pitch? Doesn't Mauer get criticized for watching too many first pitches?

I get the idea...and most situations I'd be ok with it...but...coming off the bench cold and having just seen 4 straight balls i wish he would of saw a couple Hindsight and all that

Hopefully playing 3rd doesn't remind Eddie of when he came up as an infielder and his coping mechanism

awesome- got it

Guy hadn’t thrown a strike, and it wasn’t a particularly smashable pitch

I’m on the under on the “2.5 balls off the monster” though.

I don't mind seeing Joe go after the first pitch. There are way to many Mauer ABs where he watches the first pitch go right down the middle of the plate and it ends up being by far the best pitch he sees in the AB.

Eddie Rosario in the infield...

Might actually be an option in the future. Internal 3B options are dry in the upper levels of the minor leagues, Sanó is more realistically a 1B/DH. Most of the prospects are in the middle infield. Rosario has played infield in the past.

Outfield depth is much more abundant. Buxton & Kepler are there for a while yet. Cave and Granite are decent prospects also. Kirilloff is probably not a 2019 option but certainly figures to be in the mix for several years after that in the outfield.

I can't tell you how awesome it looks on gameday to see "Twins Bench" and the only name under it is B. Wilson.  What is this, the 16th inning or something?
