I wonder if the FO did a little reverse ninja psychology on the team? Last year, they traded away a guy, pitcher, and the team seemed to get a little PO'd and took off.

 

Maybe that's the FO's super double secret probationary plan?

Initially, I really carped about Mr. Smalley, but, I admit, the man has grown on me.

I think most anyone would agree Smalley has some good stuff to say, the problem is he doesn't know how to say it in a concise and timely manner. He would really benefit from getting some public speaking lessons or something because he is very prone to repeating himself numerous times and getting sidetracked and turning his 2 minute story into a 2 inning monologue.

They close off Yawkey Street during the game, and once you're through the turnstile you can enjoy street vendors at ballpark prices. :)

Online representation of the hbp has it at 97mph and close to headhunting territory of he was crowding the plate...

 

Hope Kepler is okay...

 

Wouldn't mind seeing Grossman come through here too, but that would only matter for this game.

Reverie is also a town on the North Shore, not far from Lynn.

There is an autobody shop there by the name of wreck-o-mended.

Just pulled up the box on my phone and it tells me that Lynn has thrown 47 pitches, 35 of which went for strikes. Against Boston. In Boston.

 

That's a typo, right? I assume it should read 97 pitches.
