You know ... I’m the one who showed up just when Dozier was batting. It was me. I’m the angel of good. Just ask Aggies.

I bow before your goodness O angel.

It caused me to yell out, "F-ing Dozier!" like I do every game I watch.

Did you do that again after the Grand Slam? Gotta stay consistent.

All the credit in the world to Dozier—we need him.

That being said, Gleeman a couple weeks ago on GATG talked about the research he did that showed Dozier is literally the worst Twin of all time in close and late situations. Even broken clocks are right twice a day.

Baseball isn’t just so unpredictive like that.

As for Dozier ... I remember a couple of Tigers games a seasons or three ago ... didn’t he have two walk off home runs in a row?

I want to say it was two walk-offs in the same week. The Tiger walk-off was just before All Star.

So what happened in the 7th? I was at work and trying to catch up through game day.

It would take too long to explain. Watch the video highlights when they are available, add a bench clearing non-brawl and an ejection after the inning ends.

Not quite as exciting as when Dozier did it a couple of years ago in the last game before the AS break, but I'll take it.

I already did watch. Looked like the Rays got upset over Dozier celebrating the balk, then a pitch was thrown close to Esco ... but it said benches cleared twice?

This exactly why I like baseball. People can say these things and are wrong a good lot of the time just because they think they know a trend.

Dozier did exactly what he should do. He got a pitch right down the middle and hit it as far as he could to drive the run in and it happened to be out of the ballpark. He needs to do that more though. That's situational hitting.

Yeah, I was just poking at someone who was being snarky about Dozier not being clutch.

Yep, right after his all-star snub

That must have been awful for you.

That game was really good because it had all the emotions of every day life, mostly disgust, hatred, and anger but now ecstasy that can carry over through Thursday.

Don't forget the self-loathing. Loads of self-loathing.

Yep.  The reason I missed the ending, to be honest, is because I'd paused and muted the game.  I'd given up.  By the time I felt a little hope (addiction?) stir, the gameday showed the bases loaded.  By the time I got things unglitched...Dozier had proven me wrong.

I'm looking forward to an equally wild and crazy Game 163.  Seems inevitable.

Dozier needs to do that a lot more to make us shut up though.

Nope, he still needs to do that more often for me to shut up.

Why is that? Dozier still needs to do that more often. He needs to do more situational hitting instead of trying to hit it out every at bat. This is just one game. Anyone can be a hero in this game. Don't get too carried away. My favorite team won the game. I feel good.

I couldn't watch either. But returned to the game just as Dozier came to bat. Now they go into the break after beating one of the hottest teams in MLB three and two-thirds out of four, and yes, something inevitable may be brewing.
