rghrbek Verified Member Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 Love that lineup...against a lefty that should mean 4 hits, 1 run over 9?

VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 60 games into the season and Gibson has 12 starts but only 4 decision and one lousy win? How is that even possible with a 3.54 ERA?

Han Joelo Verified Member Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 The Lineup: 1. Clark Kent2. Actual Major League Baseball Player3. Actual Major League Baseball Player4. This guy: "After spending much of the 2015 season in the minors, he was released by the Astros after the 2015 season.[10]Minnesota Twins[edit]On December 11, Grossman signed a minor league contract with the Cleveland Indians, receiving a non-roster invitation to spring training.[11] He opted-out of his contract on May 16, 2016 and signed with the Minnesota Twins.[12] The Twins promoted him to the major leagues on May 19,[13][14] and he hit a home run in his first game with the Twins on May 20". from Wikipedia. (Has he hit one since?)5. I like Max Kepler too much to make fun of him. He actually fits pretty good in this slot.6. I googled "Miguel Sano peers" and found this article: https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/lets-talk-about-miguel-sano/ from 2015.7. The 300th Venezuelan to play in MLB! It's true, check his Wiki page.8. Not Captain Louis-Charles-Auguste Delamarre de Lamellerie, but I wish it was. Flows a bit better than just "Ryan."9. He's the one on the right. While his older sisters Ann and Nancy went on to an acclaimed career of fame and fortune, their little brother Bobby, a drummer, had too much trouble generating consistent stick to snare contact, and washed out as a professional musician--although it was said his intangibles were so off the chart, the band considered adding "Lack of" to the band name once he was gone.
Han Joelo Verified Member Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 Also, I just realized Mel Gibson was also briefly in that band. Wow.

Check out Jacob deGrom's stats over in the New York Mets page, he's got an ERA of 1.57 over 13 starts, but somehow just has a 4-1 record...including a loss last night.

Han Joelo Verified Member Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 Geez...rather “Heartless” if you ask me.Either my mind is blown or I am completely bored, but I noticed that when you quoted me it says "And and Nancy." I went to go edit my post, because, I guess I am bored, and/or OCD about spelling errors, but in the original post I did spell it right! More Russian meddling I guess.

Blake Verified Member Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 Woot! Great game thread! Mainly because I wasn't responsible for the thread! Well, okay, truth be told, SS01 always does a great job.
S. Verified Member Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 Yikes, just turned on the game and first thing I hear is Audra talking about how Molitor said the bullpen is in good condition. I'm pretty sure we'd all beg to differ on that.

I'm pretty sure we'd all beg to differ on that.Fun stats: Reed has given up a run in 4 of his last 5 games and 3 HRs in those games. In his last 7 games, Pressly has given up 9 H and 7 ER in 4.2 IP and has an ERA of 13.50, and has also given up 3 HRs. So.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 So the Twins are giving out rain checks for today even though they're playing. Good for them.
Han Joelo Verified Member Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 104 pitches thrown, combined, through not quite 2 and 1/2 innings. Having said that, I wish Sano could work an at bat like Upton just did, laying off that slider in the end.

S. Verified Member Posted June 9, 2018 Posted June 9, 2018 If that's the case, why does he use the same 3 guys over and over.Because he doesn't know the names of any of the other relievers, but its been so long that he's too embarrassed to ask, so when he calls down to the bullpen he just sticks with the 3 names he knows?
