Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2018 Author Posted June 3, 2018 Strat-O-Matic Report - Top of the 7th (Duffey still pitching)Allen grounds out to SS.Zimmer grounds out to 2B.Gonzalez HRs (8-1).Lindor singles.Lindor steals 2B.Brantley triples, Lindor scores (9-1).Ramirez is errored to 1B (Morrison throwing error), Brantley scores (10-1).Encarnacion grounds out to 1B. Bleh. Maybe Strat-O-Matic baseball against the Indians was a mistake. Cleveland's up 10-1 now.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 New game! Bring on their bullpen!
Blake Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Dozier just Encarnacioned Clevinger. Good job, Mr. Dozier!
3balls2strikes Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 I think Molitor manages by putting players in and expecting them to succeed rather than putting players in position to succeed.Exactly. The more I see of Molitor, the less I think of his managing skills. But I also think this team is better when Sano and Buxton are on the DL.
Platoon Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Well they tried it both ways, leave in starter, bring in reliever. The Cleveland managers is an idiot!
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 No reason to stop now. Time for a three-peat.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Pitchers are going to stop pitching Rosario a foot inside the plate any day now.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Eddie is on his way to becoming the best bad ball hitter in the game. It's astounding. In the past two weeks, he has launched one shoulder high pitch and two 8-10" inside the plate pitches out of the park.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2018 Author Posted June 3, 2018 Exactly. The more I see of Molitor, the less I think of his managing skills. But I also think this team is better when Sano and Buxton are on the DL. Sano's strikeout problems are annoying but I think the Twins are a better team with him. Adrianza is an everyday starter with Sano hurt with Grossman DH'ing with Mauer out.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Hmm, Rosario just Encarnacioned the Indians.
mickeymental Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 ya can't have a comeback if you never fall behind.
wavedog Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Back to back nice!! and based on the stats posted today even better news is Pressly can't be brought in to hold the lead.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Oh, and Molitor? Your hitters just covered for your very poor bullpen management.
Platoon Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Dozier!!!!!!! Clevimger: sorry I missed with those two low pitches. Where would you like the next one? Dozier: Dont tell anyone, but I almost exclusively hit one pitch for HR's. FB high in the zone, just a hair inside the middle of the plate. Mums the word, it's a well kept secret. Clevenger: How is this one? Dozier: it was ok, but just a tad more inside next time.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Sano's strikeout problems are annoying but I think the Twins are a better team with him. Adrianza is an everyday starter with Sano hurt with Grossman DH'ing with Mauer out. There's no way this team is better with Sano and Buxton on the DL. Sano has his rough patches but has a career OPS+ of 124. Buxton is worth two wins on defense alone.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 If Ramirez gives up a few runs I'll have a favorite Niel Ramirez moment! Since he didn't really have a moment in a Twins uniform...
mrmpls Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Drop Sano to 7-8-9 in the order, something has to be done, Killing the team
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 ANNND he's gone after 5 pitches. Just like his Twins career, if you blinked you missed him pitching.
Platoon Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Top of the order up. Let's go get us some points! My daughter always calls them points. She comes from, and married into a baseball family. I told her one day I would buy her a new car if she could correctly interpret the IF Fly Rule on the spot. I had no concerns whatsoever of car shopping.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Eddie is on his way to becoming the best bad ball hitter in the game. It's astounding. In the past two weeks, he has launched one shoulder high pitch and two 8-10" inside the plate pitches out of the park. And don't forget his first-inning dinger today was on a low outside pitch. We used to worry about his plate discipline, but now I'm thinking let him swing at any pitch he thinks he can hit.

In the past two weeks, he has launched one shoulder high pitch and two 8-10" inside the plate pitches out of the park. Don't forget his first HR today. That was a bit off the plate. Can't believe I was ninjaed by a guy who is wrong 25% of the time.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Drop Sano to 7-8-9 in the order, something has to be done, Killing the teamCouldn't disagree more strongly.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 ya can't have a comeback if you never fall behind.Reminds me of something an intoxicated man said to me once: You can't drink all day if you don't start first thing in the morning.
