Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 He can't get a read on the lefty. If the announcers can figure out his pickoff I hope Buxton + coaching staff can
twinsbaby Verified Member Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 Our hitters can't make contact against Hader, very bad.
Platoon Verified Member Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 As a rule, sooner or later one of these ends up down the line.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2018 Author Posted May 20, 2018 Didn't realize the Brewers employed a pitching staff full of deceptive magicians.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 The Game is changing. This isn't 1980's baseball anymore. Look at Counsell using Hader like he is Andrew Miller. Every team should be trading for or trying to create their own Andrew Miller.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 Nothing but velocity. Never let it be said velocity isn't a weapon.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 Every single batter on this team swings for the fences. It's getting old.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2018 Author Posted May 20, 2018 Don't worry, big shot Bob is at the plate.
twinsbaby Verified Member Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 Why Buxton don't steal? We need his leg, man.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 Easier said than done Probably... But before you can do it. You have to let go of any thoughts of specialization first and the game hasn't done that yet. I'm pretty sure Molitor hasn't for sure.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 Wow. Sad result. Also sad that Target field sounds like Miller park.
Platoon Verified Member Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 It's easier to pitch if u don't have to throw strikes.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 Joke team, joke loss. I want to see someone given their walking papers, now.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 Of all the things that bother me, it's that Bobby Wilson can't be pinch hit for because the Twins have already used Garver to pinch hit because the other catcher is the most legit bat on the bench, that bothers me the most. I realize there's been injuries, but...sheesh. on second thought, that and Mauer. Those are the 2 things that bother me. ... OK three things. Wilson can't be pinch hit for, Mauer, and (young) women's driving rights in Saudi Arabia.
KirbyDome89 Verified Member Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 Not quite the elephant in the room but how much longer are we going to watch Adrianza? Gordon and an insert name here glove first guy can't be any worse.

twinsbaby Verified Member Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 Hader: 2.1ip, 6Ks Our hitter all sucks, fire Falvine.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 Wow. Sad result. Also sad that Target field sounds like Miller park. God bless the brewers fans. Twins fans ain’t exactly been packing TF. Although I don’t blame them
Blake Verified Member Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 So we've handed the Brewers two runs on WP/errors, hit into DPs ourselves, and gotten a runner picked off second with no outs in a tie game. Suboptimal, in my estimation. But I'm just a guy on his couch, what do I know?Care Bear cards?
Platoon Verified Member Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 Probably... But before you can do it. You have to let go of any thoughts of specialization first and the game hasn't done that yet. I'm pretty sure Molitor hasn't for sure. That. And I still believe Molitor doesn't have a good feel for situations. Playing the game isn't the same as managing It.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 Leadoff guy gets on and you bring your fastest runner into the game to pinch run and you don't even attempt to get him to 2nd base whether it be by bunt or by steal. I know our bench is paltry for hitters but Jake Cave can't lay a bunt down to get Bux to 2nd? Bux could get to 3rd on his own after that and not have to worry about the pickoff play. There is no clutch in this team from the pitching staff to the hitters to the coaching staff. Incredibly frustrating to watch.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 I don't understand how Hader only throws a 93-95 MPH fastball (compared to others who can throw harder), but not a single batter could even foul it or even get close. That was like watching a little league team facing up against a MLB pitcher. Hader has mostly done this to the other teams he's faced, so clearly I need to read up more on how this guy pitches. That was something else. (at least, today he only seemed to throw the fastball. I didn't see any breaking balls, but I didn't quite watch all of it.)
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 After tonight Hader is AVERAGING more than 2 strikeouts per inning this year. YIKES!!!
