Taildragger8791 Verified Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 While Sano's big hits were "unsustainable", can we also agree that his record-setting strikeout pace is also unsustainable? I'm just as upset as the next guy, but he's got to get better...right? Absolutely. I assume he'll come back down to his 35% career average, but in my opinion even that is probably too high for the 3 hole. It's great when he gets hot or runs into some hangers, but otherwise it's just a rally killer. Now if he got that strikeout rate down to 30% or less while keeping the production up...then we're cooking with gas and he can choose his own lineup spot every day.
70charger Verified Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Wow, 4 walks for Dozier. Mauer and Dozier flipped the script this game. Which works out because of the batting order.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Insurance run is great, but part of me is still hoping that the Astros just decide it's too cold to stick around for the top of the ninth.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 or, I'm a good student at the feet of a master <holding my nose> ish
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Sano's hitting is almost as pathetic as Target Field attendance.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Lol ... what ... was ... that!
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 All part of the show, ladies and germs. All part of the show.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Lol ... what ... was ... that!Rodney being Rodney?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 I wish to recognize the HP umpire tonight. Very good job, IMO.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Rodney being Rodney? His walk up ... and then falling off the mound.

I'm just as upset as the next guy, but he's got to get better...right? He's not going to strike out at 50% forever but does Sano strike you as a player that puts any effort into getting better? The pitchers facing him on the other hand? Watching him bat is my least favorite part of a twins game. He has no discipline whatsoever and he's closing in on 1500 career PAs
Taildragger8791 Verified Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Wow. What a defensive play.
70charger Verified Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 I don't know if it was "magical," but it was a good scoop.
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Wow. That's a heckuva play by Dozier!
jimmer Verified Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Wow. What a defensive play.who made the play?
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Rodney being Rodney? He marches to the beat of his own drummer, who I'm pretty sure is Animal from the Muppets.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 who made the play? Dozier. He used a backhanded glove toss, and possibly a little bit of The Force.
Taildragger8791 Verified Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 who made the play? Dozier ranged to his right and slid behind second to glove a ground ball, flipping it with his glove to Escobar to get the lead runner and nearly complete the double play.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Wioohooo! Already had my chicken dinner so going to bed. Gnight all ... good thread!

Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Good god, Fernando Rodney just shot Byron Buxton in the chest with an imaginary arrow.. Is that a good thing?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 So we are world champs now right? We’re something. Oh, or were talking about the Twins.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 try the "rwd" function on your remote. Not sure where the "remote" is on my TV, let alone what a "rwd" would do to it. http://s2.postimage.org/yb1tmkra1/image.jpg
