Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Dang mound visits slowing the game down
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 OK...somebody 'splain to me what Zach Duke is doing facing Altuve and Correa?? You don't sweat platoon splits when you've got The Duke on the mound.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 OK...somebody 'splain to me what Zach Duke is doing facing Altuve and Correa?? Getting them out apparently.
Taildragger8791 Verified Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 I think the best thing to do for now is move Sano down a few spots in the lineup and put someone like Kepler in the 3 hole. Or anyone who can make contact with the ball, really. I mentioned this a week ago but Sano was in the middle of a remarkable (and unsustainable) tear of big hits, so the idea fell flat. After some predictable BABIP regression we're really feeling the pain of all those K's in a critical lineup spot. I personally like the idea of Kepler hitting in front of Sano.

bighat Verified Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Not sure if this has been addressed yet...but are Twins fans doing this "wooo" thing that's currently ruining baseball in cities like Pittsburgh?

LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Well, Duke didn't look like the right tool for the job, but apparently Molitor's managerial mojo is working tonight.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Yeah, now you've lost most of us. The nerds who put together the periodic table didn't leave me much to work with. No wonder people hate chemistry.

While Sano's big hits were "unsustainable", can we also agree that his record-setting strikeout pace is also unsustainable? I'm just as upset as the next guy, but he's got to get better...right?
