yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 I was actually surprised that there wasn't a pitching change after Kep. But ... meh ... I don't know the Orioles' bp, and it is only the first game of the season ... but a single and two walks? It would be pretty unusual to remove a closer before he gives up a lead, let alone a run.

Maybe once Buxton gets his feet under him that opinion will change but if I need a "not out", Grossman's my guy. Squirrel 1

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 They’re giving up an out and we can’t throw a strike.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 My biggest pet peeve is pitchers that can't throw the ball over the plate on a sac bunt

yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 So, if they bring in Rogers for Davis, who comes in after that? Pressley? Angels and ministers of grace defend us.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Um...hildy... some strikes please?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Crap ... Hildy not looking good to start ... well ... heh ... according to what I see on Gameday.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Nice play on the bunt. Could have been a dagger if it got by him
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 How do catholics do that thing?
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Not giving Rodney a clean inning to work with. What could go wrong?! ashbury and PopRiveter 2

I love the results, but in game 1 of 162 I'm ok with Buxton getting that AB. Platoon 1
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 I think we can go ahead and slot Hildenberger to the seventh inning or earlier for a little while and let him get his feet under him. Danchat 1
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 This has disaster written all over it
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Machado is 0-3 vs. Rodney lifetimeSorry about this stat guys
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 I don't think this is an issue with Buxton getting his feet under him, but one that he looked absolutely awful in two at bats. As noted, a professional hitter was needed in that situation. ashbury 1
Doubles Verified Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Commence the 'Fernando Rodney Experience, Minnesota Style' era. Buckle up.

I love the results, but in game 1 of 162 I'm ok with Buxton getting that AB. After the past two seasons, I'm using kid gloves on Buxton until he establishes himself for a week or two and shows he's no longer prone to horrific streaks. We've seen what happens when he gets into his own head early in the season. But if we were talking about Buxton vs Adrianza, I let Buxton hack away. It's a little different when you have the option of going to what is possibly the most professional and selective hitter on the team in a situation where the pitcher is rattled and all you need is a single.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Buxton catches that easilyAnd if he batted, we’d be in the showers by now BoofBonser, ashbury, Mill1634 and 1 other 4
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 How can Escobar not know where to go on that play?
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 And if he batted, we’d be in the showers by now you're right
Doubles Verified Member Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Any reason why Rodney didn't cover second base there? Was he backing up a different base? Yuck.
