Over/Under: 30 HRs

Let's say the over/under on the number of Twins to hit 30+ homeruns is set at 3. What direction would you go? Any other surprise hitters that might make a run at it?

 

Last year:

Sano 28 in 114 games

Rosario 27 in 151 games

Dozier 34 in 152

Morrison 38 in 149 games

Kepler 19 in 147

Buxton 16 in 140

I'll take the over on Dozier, Sano (unless he's suspended), and Morrison.

Three sounds right. Rosario could pick up a few more, but LoMo hit over twice as many HRs last year than he ever had in the past, so he may have just had his career year.

 

If I had to pick one, I'd pick under. And, like Tomj14, be very pleased if I lose the bet.

The only guy I take the over on is Dozier.

 

Sano would also be a gimme if not for all the injury and off-field issues.

Concur with Brock. Dozier IMO is a lock for 30+ HRs in his walk year.

 

Sano is a possibility depending on if he's suspended.

 

The others, I don't know. From what I'm reading the baseballs may not be as juiced this year as they were last year. So we may see a decrease in HRs throughout baseball.

I think Sano and Dozier are locks and then one of Morrison, Rosario or Buxton will get there. So i guess that's a push?

If it was 25 I might pick almost all of them.  I just think we'll have a nice group of 25ish homerun guys this year.

Strange guess, but 6 1/2 over 20 HR, but only 1 with over 30 HR.

 If they all have good OBP I would be just fine if they were all in the 20-28 range.   I am going out on a limb and say Buxton leads the team.
