So I was out last night watching the football game, and I ordered a Monte Cristo.  Now, I've never had one, but I was curious why that was the only sandwich where they purposely offered a half.  Even the waiter asked, 'Half?' I said nope.

 

Then I found out why they actively offer a half.  I was only starting to get hungry around 4 PM today.

Bullpen question: We need to acquire another SP. Period. Even with some talented kids getting close.

 

There is a convincing argument to acquire a DH bat, who can hopefully fill in somewhere.

 

The Twins have some BP arms like Rogers, Hildenberger, Busentiz and maybe Duffey and Pressly. Curtiss is close. Bard and Reed may be close. With a tiny bit of luck, Chargois and Jay will be ready soon, and Burdi by mid season maybe. There are a couple other interesting guys and a SP or two who could help.

 

So how big do you go in the off season for BP help?

I think a lot of us were looking at Burdi and Chargois moving into regular relief rotation this year. I hope they both still will be able to work their way back.

Not drawing unwanted attention is part of his operative's skill set. But as the Twins' most highly placed mole in the Cleveland operation, Breslow's perpetual question is when to intervene on our behalf, and when to lay low and focus on avoiding detection.
