twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Lol, played Adrianza shallow with 2 out and he bopped it over their heads. Awesome
Blake Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Did we just get greedy? I like being greedy...I didn't think it was a bad idea by Adrianza. The Sox were having trouble getting a handle on the baseball, so, why not?

dgwills Provisional Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 That's two hard hit outs this inning.three now. I'll take it though
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Ha, the Sox announcers just called out Adrianza for bad base running ... as 'interesting base running this evening.'
70charger Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Ha, the Sox announcers just called out Adrianza for bad base running ... as 'interesting base running this evening.' Just re-tuned in and saw someone get caught by a mile. What exactly happened there?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 This might be the best sheer stuff Berrios has had this year, IMO.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 You know what, I'll take greedy even though it didn't work. This team is, mostly, young, talented and aggressive. Got the lead, have a shot, I'm OK going for it.
Blake Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 By the way, I've done my hitch, Time for others to step up and write game threads. okay, okay, I may just be out of ideas. so, sue me..
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Just re-tuned in and saw someone get caught by a mile. What exactly happened there?Adrianza hit a ball over the CFer's head, and was counting on all four infielders to mishandle the throw from the OF field, but only three did.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Just re-tuned in and saw someone get caught by a mile. What exactly happened there?Adrianza hit one over the heads of the Sox outfielder, and on the relay throw back in, got away from the infielders and Adrianza decided to try for home.

ashbury Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 I still can't get the image of Garver taking the turn at second for his triple out of my mind. Like a lineman pressed into emergency duty on offense, running a post to the end zone. Chug chug chug.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 I would tell a couple chemistry jokes, but I'd probably get no reaction.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 I would tell a couple chemistry jokes, but I'd probably get no reaction.Yeah you would ... it fizzling is a reaction.
Blake Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 I vote Garver catches Berrios next time out.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 This might be the best sheer stuff Berrios has had this year, IMO.Agreed. Family in the stands may be part of it. But man, I swear I saw a couple curves tonight that were just NASTY. Did I forget he had a curveball?
Darius Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Big game tonight. Couldn't ask for a better response.

Never seen someone who understood the finer points going into his debut.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 You know, the Sox broadcast tonight is actually listenable ... no Hawk.

I'll try, but school started this week and it's hard to commit a lot of time in advance. If I can find a day that I'm confident will work and that is open, I'm up for doing another one.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 You'd think playing with Pelfrey for a couple of years would teach Dozier a little patience.
Blake Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Mauer should have tried for second, just because.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 You'd think playing with Pelfrey for a couple of years would teach Dozier a little patience. And the Sox announcers said on that ... 'Dozier back to his old tricks' ... or something like that.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Also, I think my pregnant, 2 days overdue wife, could beat Vargas in a footrace.Does your wife hit with power, too?
