Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Should'a sent Dozier on Mauer's hit.Not with 0 outs. You'd have to expect that one of these knuckleheads could put a ball in play with the bases loaded
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 I'm sure the failure to score there won't come back and bite us.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 In my defense, I did say similar. In MY defense, this is a game thread, and I reserve the right to read everything in the most inane way possible.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Not with 0 outs. You'd have to expect that one of these knuckleheads could put a ball in play with the bases loadedNo, I send a decent runner on a ground ball to left pretty much any time.
big dog Verified Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Strikeouts matter. Angelica Huston count: 4 viewings, after 1 inning.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Miguel needs to get himself fixed and fast. He's killing us with unproductive outs. We all love the homers but sheesh.
Dantes929 Verified Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Just seeing play by play on mlb. What happened on Sano's error? Was it a double play ball? Next guy made an out so kind of harsh that the runs were earned. Error that leads to 2 runs and then striking out with no one out and bases loaded. Hope Sano redeems himself later.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Mr Nibbles against the Tribe at Target Field; 6 starts, 0-4, 7.04 ERA.

Hope Sano redeems himself later. It was a slow roller off the end of the bat with lots of sidespin. Sano tried to barehand it, and didn't. I don't think he had to barehand it, he got to it fairly quickly and Ramirez didn't get out of the box quickly.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Watching Gibson pitch is something akin to what I imagine dental work was like before the invention of novocaine. Edit: who am I kidding? I'm old enough not to have to imagine.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 And of course, the free base hurts.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Nothing against Kyle, I'm sure he's a nice guy, but I will not be renewing my MLB tv account if he's on this team next year
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Man, I am so ready to be done with Gibson. Also, I thought the game was at 1:10, not 12:10. I can never remember if the time was CT or ET!
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Dickbert sticking to the "soft contact" passive/aggressive defense of Gibson.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Castro set up 6 feet in front of the plate. Even with a perfect throw, the runner would score. The thrown ball travels faster that any catch and sweep. Giving the runner a path to the base doesn't mean you have to be in front of the plate. You can be just behind it as well, and in position to see where you need to tag him. Other team's catchers are figuring it out. I thought Castro was supposed to be one of the best defensive catchers. Time to adjust! Make that PAST time to adjust.
wavedog Verified Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Sttruggggelling - always good to begin a Double Header with your pitcher at 60 pitches through 2 innings
big dog Verified Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Angelica Huston count, 5. I'm ready to DFA Gibson. I don't care who pitches. I just don't care. It won't be more frustrating than this.
big dog Verified Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Huston count, 6. I'll just assume we will see this every half inning until the end of time.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Maybe the front office needs league approval to move Sano down in the order and Buxton up a few spots?
OldTimeTwinkie Provisional Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Why doesn't Gibson use a windup?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Why doesn't Gibson use a windup?Because he almost never has the bases empty?
big dog Verified Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Well, at least Gibson's pitching inside. Might be good to do it without putting guys on, if possible.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Haha gladden pretty disgusted at Gibson saying sorry for hitting guyer. Refreshing
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 Kepler refuses to take the walk. Twice.
SF Twins Fan Verified Member Posted August 17, 2017 Posted August 17, 2017 I think it's about time to sit Sano for a game or two just to give him a mental break.
