wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 I have a salad for lunch like 4 times a week. Been doing that for five months.I either have a salad or some fruit and yogurt. I've been doing that for quite a while now. It may not always be overly filling, but I find if i have a big lunch now I get really sleepy. Sometimes though, those cravings for a juicy burger or something wins out anyway.

And it's not even close :-) 2-3 eggs for breakfast, fruit between breakfast and lunch, a salad for lunch, a hand full of almonds between lunch and dinner and then dinner.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Seriously? I did it as an inside joke and just haven't changed it to something else yet.Well, you're scaring the children! CHANGE IT BACK!!!!

jimmer Verified Member Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Okay, then what's for dinner?Pretty much anything as long as it's not too much. I don't eat anything deep fried anymore. I don't eat chips and I may have a handful of jelly beans a couple times a month. I've lost 80 pounds since March 4th.

jimmer Verified Member Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Nicely done, sir!Thank you. It's taken a lot of effort, but I needed to do it cause I gained 60 pounds after having two physical situations that wouldn't allow me to exercise for over a year. So I lost those 60 and 20 more to boot.

I learned better habits the second time around and made the correct adjustments. I've settled in now where I'm not missing out on food that I really like yet not over doing it. Everything is fine in moderation! Maybe not everything, but moderation is the key.

Only way I've had success as an adult was a low carb diet. Even that though is hard in that it doesn't drop off easily. Traveling all the time doesn't help either, but to get you an idea, I went on a nutrisystem diet in the middle of training for a marathon and didn't lose any weight. My body is stubborn about those types of things, but when you are running 20 + miles a week and consuming less than 1500 calories a day, the weight should drop off in a hurry. No dice. Low carb worked for me though.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 So how much did you invest in whites? you stole my line! never should have gone for that salad, and stayed here and ate a bar instead.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Better? Your avatar needs dogs.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Your avatar needs dogs. No, it doesn't.

I can eat basically anything I want, but it has to be in moderation.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 No, it doesn't.Trying to decide if I'm still scared from the previous one or if I'm now frightened by a dinosaur cat.
