wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Off topic, by which I mean baseball during a game thread, but congrats to Adrian beltre for joining the 3000 hit club!
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Strikeout with the bases loaded and less than 2 outs - check.Squander bases loaded with less than 2 outs scoring no runs... check Oops, missed that they actually did score once...
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Um, long for which world? Professional baseball world? Twins world? Or the world as this planet?Yes.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Dangit, bases left loaded again.
70charger Verified Member Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Not the first time a ball has been lost in the sun this afternoon. Must be a hard time of day for pop ups toward third base.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Don't learn from the past. The all year past.... the recent past..... Leave him in just to eat innings.............
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Here in Tucson, a psychiatrist and a proctologist opened a new clinic together near our house. It's called "Odds and Ends."
spinowner Provisional Member Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Y'know, all stadiums should be domed so players don't lose the ball in the sun. It's an abomination!
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 I'm interested to see if Colon will bounce back in the 5th inning. If he falters again, I think his time as a starter here is up.
70charger Verified Member Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 The stats I'm looking at aren't showing that missed pop up as an error. Why would that be?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 I had to go to the VA hospital for a gastroscopy today. As usual, the VA was busy...there were three other guys in the waiting room. The doctor came through and explained what would happening to the four of us. He said that I was having the gastroscopy, which is the camera down the throat and the other three were there for a colonoscopy, which is the camera...from the other direction. He then asked if any of us had any questions. I said: "Yes. Can I go first?"
70charger Verified Member Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Joe Mauer making sure that everyone with seats on the third base line gets a souvenir.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Rosario has been taking a lot of walks recently. His plate discipline has been improving a ton this season, so I have a hard time saying his performance is fluky.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 OK bullpen, the number is 5. Don't let the A's get to it.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Rosario has been taking a lot of walks recently. His plate discipline has been improving a ton this season, so I have a hard time saying his performance is fluky. It seems like it, but going into today, Eddie had 19 walks on the year.
70charger Verified Member Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Short leash for Colon here, I assume?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Uh oh...Colon absorbing another painful pounding?
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 More.... more pitches.... eat them innings...... who cares about the score.......
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Ok time for Bart to hit the showers and then be given his gold watch
GCTF Verified Member Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Short leash for Colon here, I assume?Who takes a hippo for a walk?

adorduan Verified Member Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 I can't wait for this Colon fiasco to end. Give the starts to somebody, anybody that might be here next year.
70charger Verified Member Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Who takes a hippo for a walk? The world's bravest Ugandan?

Decisions like adding a wasteland no future pitcher to lose games when we need them the most....... such disrespect to the fans......
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Uh oh...Colon absorbing another painful pounding? stop stop .......
glunn Community Moderator Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 I can't wait for this Colon fiasco to end. Give the starts to somebody, anybody that might be here next year.Colon has been good for his first 50 or 60 pitches in all of his starts, I wish that the Twins could persuade him to stay on as a long reliever,
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 This Colon experiment needs to end. (Colon experiment is also the name of my band).
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Just practicing blowing a 5 run lead...... don't worry. It will be fine.
