Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 Bart looked a little less than interested in that AB
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 Colon clearly had no intentions of running to first on that AB... Riverbrian 1
DiscGolfer Verified Member Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 I'd like to see him go up there without a bat next time. 70charger, Riverbrian, Suicide Skweez and 4 others 7
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 Pitchers duel. Just the way we drew it up DiscGolfer, snepp, ashbury and 1 other 4
Suicide Skweez Provisional Member Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 (edited) Colon clearly had no intentions of running to first on that AB...Or lifting the bat off his shoulder. The terrifying thing was that Dozier looked just as bad in his at bat as Colon did! Yikes. Edited July 25, 2017 by Suicide Skweez
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 Well, it gets late early. Signing off, with one last thought: I hope Kyle Gibson, to name just one Twins pitcher, is watching Ryu and learning what command of one's pitches can do. snepp and glunn 2
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 The dodgers are 37 games above .500, and the broadcasters have spent half the evening talking about kershaw's back injury. glunn 1
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 We've just seen two great reasons why the NL needs to have the DH Danchat, spinowner and 70charger 3
spinowner Provisional Member Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 Dick: Fly ball to short center. The ball was caught by Escobar at the back of the infield dirt.
Suicide Skweez Provisional Member Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 Dozier follows up a bad AB with a lackadaisical play in the field. Sure he's good for a HR here and there, but his lack of effort this season has been concerning. He's a piece I'd like to see dealt at some point in the next 12 months.

snepp Verified Member Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 Dick: Fly ball to short center. The ball was caught by Escobar at the back of the infield dirt. Yet devoid of the Bremergasm of a "deep" flyball caught 20 feet short of the warning track.

DiscGolfer Verified Member Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 That's pretty close, not sure if that'll get overturned
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 Meh, I understand why you send him there, but I probably wouldn't have. Not the fleetest of foot

LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 (edited) What's the replay overturn rate in MLB? One percent? Less? Whatever it is, the rate of reversal in favor of poor plays like sending Grossman home has got to be less than half what it is for 'smart' plays. In other words, the replay guys either unconsciously or deliberately despise rewarding fundamentally poor baseball no matter what the replay shows. Edited July 25, 2017 by LaBombo
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 Surprised it took that long. Someone wake up Bart
