Dave The Dastardly Verified Member Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 We're Twins fans, so, forbearance is sort of built into our DNA.Along with disappointment, heartbreak and masochism. There's also a downside. gil4, wsnydes, Blake and 1 other 4

brettbrett88 Verified Member Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 For all you complainers, I live in Maine. Last night's game started at 10:10 and the last pitch was around 1:05AM (I think). It was pretty dificult getting out of bed this morning - although it was almost 10:00. Did I forget to mention that I'm retired? HeeHee. don't forget the poor Brits (cough) who have to wait until 3:10am for the damn game to start Broker, wsnydes, Vanimal46 and 2 others 5
brettbrett88 Verified Member Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 (edited) also if the twins win the next 3 games away will you really want to come back and play at home? Edited June 9, 2017 by brettbrett88 Riverbrian and Oldgoat_MN 2
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 I've been...sort of...softly and lazily...campaigning for "So Long Sano" as a nickname due to his enormous shots. Riverbrian and Dave The Dastardly 2
gil4 Verified Member Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 If I could do it any other way... I'd leave those late game threads up longer. Unfortunately... I can't. I only have a small window in the morning to post the new open. Once I'm at work... it's nose to the grindstone. So that means a choice of posting at 7AM or when I'm done from work around 6PM. Yes I do get a lunch break but there are days when I have to cancel it for various reasons and I never know when that will happen in advance. That leaves the only safe window to post the new thread in the morning. My apologies and my hope for forgiveness and understanding. Thanks for the explanation - it was far more than was due. I guess I'll have to stay up a few minutes later to gripe about the chief's chicken. Riverbrian and Blake 2
gil4 Verified Member Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 No, I don't think so. He was firm about his position on purpose.I could do waffles too. Just nothing that could be construed as health food. (No whole wheat flour or wheat germ in the waffles.) Blake and Riverbrian 2

Broker Provisional Member Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 At least I can listen to the first couple of innings.
Oldgoat_MN Verified Member Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 Winning and helping the Dodgers?Talk about a win-lose proposition. I have no problem helping the Dodgers, who are 11 games under .500.I just want Dozier to homer in each game. At least once per game. Riverbrian and Blake 2

You know, like snowman. Just going with the Minnesota motif. We run a video clip of one of Sano's long homeruns sailing out of sight and Bert's voice comes on says, "The Sanoman; he's going to freeze your balls!" That ought to put the fear of God in Twins opponents. Might even get Bert another fine and suspension. Riverbrian and Blake 2
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2017 Posted June 9, 2017 You don't say... Don Walcott, USAFChief and Blake 3

Run the clip with the long homerun, but Bert says "The Sanoman; he's going to frost your balls!" Then the video switches to a closeup of a grinning Sano smearing frosting on a baseball. Run that by the PR office. I've got to to go take my meds. Riverbrian, Blake and wsnydes 3

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 9, 2017 Author Posted June 9, 2017 I like Captain Insano... It's very good But... "The Sanoman" is absolutely perfect. I don't think it can be topped.
