Has anyone asked Buck Showalter his opinion about the Twins in the last 3 days?  Was that the biggest jinx in team history?

I return from lunch,,,and this!  It seems presley hasn't changed from Monday.  Breslow is about the same--but now he has an OF who actually catches the ball.

No, but they're bringing on their third pitcher already.

 

Two of the three relievers that pitched the 8th Monday are among the first guys into this game.  Does Paul even realize that he's got other guys out there?

Duffy to start with.  After that, I would have stayed away from the three guys that pitched the 8th on Monday because none of them had anything.  Give them some rest.  Pressly in particular.

This three game stretch has to be some sort of record for futility.... 6.2 innings - 22 ER - 29.7 ERA

2 things:

 

1. Most of us saw this coming. Just painful to see it blowup to this extreme.

 

2. Is there anything more demoralizing to the hitters than what's happened these last few days? At some point they are going to get frustrated that battling back seems to be a 1 step forward 2 steps back deal.

Imagine how horrid this series might have been if the Twins had not sent out Santana and Berrios and the Astros had sent out Kuechel and McCullers...

I was about to add the same thing - Houston doesn't have a problem putting in a call-up with a 7-run lead.  Let's see how it turns out.

He is single handidly tanking the Twins season. Want a saboteur on your team add a Pressly and put him out to start an inning. 

I think the guy that keeps putting him in the position to tank the season owns some blame as well.  At this point, I don't know how Pressly can be trusted.  Send him down to AAA to get things worked out.

I had no problem with him being the emergency call up. But why he wasn't sent down after last night is perplexing to say the least.

I get the animosity toward Pressly, but he looked unhittable against Baltimore.  I gotta figure something is physically not right with the guy.  Belisle never looked like he had the stuff and I've always considered Breslow the junk baller that takes one for the team in a blowout.

I agree with you, that Molitor shares some blame and so does the two pitching coaches. This isn't right what these guy's have been doing to the team the last three days. 

I see it as an ongoing issue since Molitor became the manager, but these past three days have been extraordinary even for them.

yeah the kid's been in this organization a long time, props...however, he hasn't hit 90 once today...again, soft tossing lefty, who is a below average pitcher at AAA, and he is pitching for us?

 

At some point the FO really has to be taken to task, if this is where we are at...needed to have a better plan.
