SwainZag Community Moderator Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Just need a K followed by a 6-4-3. Let's go get Jose
snepp Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Okay, do we panic now? No, we're saving that for when Belisle, Beslow, Pressley, that other guy, *insert reliever of choice* comes in with the bases loaded.
Guest Guests Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 According to things I've read, apparently sometimes pitching coaches go to mounds about now to calm down the pitcher.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Don't want to see any bullpen action. Looks like Wheeler warming.

70charger Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 No offense to the guy, but I really don't want to see Wheeler try to take this home.

Blake Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Okay, Berrios showed some guts with that one.
snepp Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Brutal inning, but he didn't fall apart, I'll take it.
Guest Guests Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 . Except he was already out there.Looks like it helped. Berrios may be trying to do it all himself.

wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 I don't expect him to be lights out every night, but it's good to see him work through that inning and minimizing the damage.
jimmer Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Okay, so here's my issue with the unwritten rules. It's okay for Berrios to react the way he did when he struck that guy out. If the guy had jacked a HR and reacted with obvious joy, he's showing up the pitcher.
RaoulDuke Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Curve is on point but locating the fastball has caused problems. Berrios just gotta stay calm and not overthrow.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Fiers, who could have been KO'd in the first inning, has now settled down
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Here comes"the Walking Man" Eddie Rosario. Also "the K Man".
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 I will never understand the tradition of giving up a run for an extra out. I know all the arguments. But a run for an out, especially that gives up the lead, ties the game, or lets the other team go ahead, is a run you can't assume you will get back, no matter what point of the game it is.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 When did Buxton get away from the leg kick again?

wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 For all of the (deserved) criticism of Molitor past few days, I have to admit that the team is focused and in the game today. This had the potential to be the complete disaster blowout at least we're competitive. I was concerned that the team would go on the tank but it hasn't happened yet. That's how they looked early yesterday too though.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 If Buxton could get on base 38-40% of the time, what a weapon he would be!
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 My favorite quote of the game so far (I believe an unintentional diss by Dick): "The Astros and Twins both feel like they have upgraded the catching position."
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Castro out there making fiers look like Aroldis on that 91 mph FB
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Well, the bottom line is, 2 runs ain't gonna beat the 2017 Astros It could. A tie game surely won't beat them.
