Walter's Whites Verified Member Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 I have an idea. Let's take the media guide away from Bert and see what he talks about. My guess is nothing. Or how many days until his next birthday.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 A Grossman walk. Imagine that! What's the wind like there? Keep hearing the Sox announcers say how wicked it is today.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 The first car I actually owned was an '85 2-door Ford Escort, manual transmission. The second car I owned was a '94 Acura Integra, also a manual. The third and final car I've owned and still own is a '09 Mini Cooper convertible, still a manual transmission.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 My first car was a 1957 Cadiilac hearse/ambulance...The bar has been set high for the rest of this thread, regarding first-car stories.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 Outside the park--pretty strong. Seems to swirl , but both Grossman and Sox LF staggered under high fly balls.

Walter's Whites Verified Member Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 You would punish us by having us listen to just Dick? You are an evil evil man.My recommendation would be to either turn on the radio broadcast, mute the TV or put music on. Do not listen to Dick alone. Don't do that to yourself.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 Keep hearing the Sox announcers say how wicked it is today. They brought in a Red Sox announcer?
Blake Verified Member Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 I think Shields is lucky for the score to still be 0-0. The Twins have squared up some balls pretty good. Yes, Santiago caught a break, but I don't think the Sox have as many hard hit the balls as the Twins.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 They brought in a Red Sox announcer?I'm not even going to dignify that with a response. Except for this undignified response.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 One weak spot in Sano's game continues to be not checking his swing in time to avoid the strike being called at first base.
crapforks Provisional Member Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 I imagine Sano will be seeing plenty of Shields' curveball if they face off again today.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 My recommendation would be to either turn on the radio broadcast, mute the TV or put music on. Do not listen to Dick alone. Don't do that to yourself.I kind of feel that way about listening to Hawk, alone or otherwise. Yet I still do. It's difficult to measure the harm it's caused over the 17 years I've lived in Chicago.
Blake Verified Member Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 I imagine Sano will be seeing plenty of Shields' curveball if they face off again today.I think Shields goes to the well once to often and Sano puts one in the seats.

Don't do that to yourself.I'm watching the game on FSN on mute & listening to the Spanish radio broadcast. I don't care for Bert & Dick either.

hybridbear Verified Member Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 Santiago might be getting himself into trouble this inning...
